So I decided on the Rodeo, for some of the above reasons. It was a "date" at a houseparty. We just met a few days prior, but seemed to hit it off.

I was clean, car was clean, it was nice. Anyhow, we get there and it was a total disaster.

She locked in on some girlfriends and I was nearly forgotten. This was not bad, as there was an open bar and free food. I also met and chatted up a 20-year old college chick who is in school for dance. She was super hot and super into me when I showed her some drinking games. Man, I love college chicks.

I've done the houseparty date and it can go a couple of ways, either we're there "together" and I'm clearly her date, (and vice versa), or I'm forgotten. This was the latter.

In hindsight, I wasn't too pissed, because it showed me quite a few things about her personality, and she dropped things in conversation that night that were huge red flags. In short, she's a self-absorbed narcissist who thinks only of herself, is not considerate of others, and after a few drinks, gets pretty racist against White people, (she's Mexican).

A couple of hours later, I bailed. I used to be in the Army, (and I told her this), so I very publicly fiddled with my phone and said that I just received word that there was terrorism in Austin I had to go fight. I looked at her as earnestly as I could and with a straight face told her I wasn't bailing because of her poor personal skills, her crappy friends, or the lame party, but that I was bailing FOR AMERICA and she had no right to be pissed. I did make sure she had a ride home, however. See, I'm a gentleman.

I then proceeded to investigate reports of Al-Qaeda agents infiltrating downtown Austin and San Marcos. I interviewed many hot women, (perfect terrorism disguise), and personally tested the liquor bottles and beer taps in many of the local pubs for poison. Thankfully my search turned up no terrorists or poison.

The things I do for this country.

Anyhow, that's how it went. I don't think I'll be calling her. The friend that set us up got an earful about it. I'm not playing that s**t again.

LOL! Great report.

Excellent approach - you have your head on right, mate.

Keep up the good work --- regardless of what you drive!

You, sir, are a winner with a great attitude. Her loss and she sounds worthless. The way that she treated you at the party was inexcusably rude and that's one of my deal-breakers for women or male friends.

The fact that you salvaged the evening so well speaks of your resourcefulness.

Not a troll, just someone who only goes on forums occasionally, and in the case of posting, like to listen more than I talk. There is a LOT to offer here, and unless I feel I can contribute in a meaningful way, I won't post.

Then there's the fact that I can be typing on the internet, or driving my 930.

Hard call...

I don't appear to be a gearhead so I guess I would pass the sniff test.

As for the rest, this is how I play it- if we talk, we talk. Either it's there or it's not. Life's too short to chase some chick across the airport or committing seppiku if she doesn't return my call. Not calls, CALL. (think dumb romantic comedy)

One thing is for certain- I ain't chasing squat. Leave that for the young'ns.

I think if he was trolling, the college chick would have been a gymnast, or aerobics instructor, or even a twin. But dance major was pretty good.

The car is a one-of-a- kind PTS Estoril Blue with every desirable option on it, plus 2009 was the lowest production year of modern 911s, so it is certainly not "dime a dozen".
