Is this true? No, not the stuff about the poor women who can't find 28G bras. Is is true that the median bra size now is a 36D or 36DD? When it was once a 34B?

Why did that happen? Is there something in the modern diet that has changed breast sizes so much in the past few decades?

Seriously, I'm reading stuff about higher levels of estrogen.

People eating lots of soy stuff has something to do with it, men and women.
Also, at least in America we're all getting fatter and that means bigger boobies.

I think that the retailer they quoted was really just commenting on the fashion trends and "Push up Bras", which typically add two cup sizes.

So, when she's saying the average bra used to be a 34B and is now a 36D, the figure is skewed due to the popularity of push-up bras and she's really just saying that women are a little bit bigger around than before and their cup sizes are the same.

But when you by a bra, push-up or not a 34b is a 34b. The push up is just padded as hell and looks bigger. The fit, size and this the sales figures are still for a 34b.

Why? I find small breasted women as sexy as large ones.

Women think men only like large breasts, so if we feel "small" we feel insecure... I'm sure men can relate to similar feelings.

I actually prefer the smaller, perkier breasts on a woman. those women that have the smaller ones tend to stay fit and trim which keeps the cup size down.

The women with really big boobs tend to have a matching body as they get older.

We don't only like large breasts, we just like them better.

Anything more than a handful is wasted IMO.

The clincher in humanity's fall will be the return of the corset.
Women will have to spin to keep standing upright. That, or segway shoes.

True... Ill consider myself lucky in that respect.

Rather have them small and natural dont like big fakies.

Totally agree!!!! And I disagree with Janet. Don't assume all women with small boobage are insecure. I have small boobs and honestly, I am glad I have small boobs. They have stayed in pretty good shape despite breast feeding and time. When it comes down to it, boobs are sacs of fat. Unless your mammary glands are enlarged from breastfeeding or filled with silicone or saline, big boobs are a result of genetics or being plain fat. I am very active and feel sorry for my big breasted friends. They complain of back problems and pain secondary from movement when running or any other exercise. They have to double up on sports bras. Uggggg... Just thinking about it makes my back hurt. I can go bra less and not have any issues!

And as we get older, my big boobied friends complain of their saggy boobs and want boob jobs to fix them. Mine still are perky. Gravity has way less to work with. :)

BUT my sisters and mom have gotten boob jobs so to each their own. I think there are men who like big ones and some who like small ones. Just like how some like blondes and some like brunettes. I just find the fellas who like my perky small ones just as much as I do. :)

Ya know, we hear over and over that "most women are wearing the wrong size bra." Right now ALL professional bra fitters are women. There's the problem right there. Men should be the professional bra fitters! Heck, we would do it for free! And we're really good at measuring things, no bias at all...

I believe the saying is "Anything more than a mouthful is wasted"!

Of course not everyone feels insecure about having small ones. I loved my small perky ones but, breast feeding two kids left me with way less than I started with which wasn't much to begin with. I also don't like the notion that women with implants always have big fake boobies. Mine still aren't big,hardly a C, they match my body proportions perfectly and people don't typically notice. That said I'd go back to my smaller pre baby boobs anyday of the week if I could but, I'm happy... Hubs is very happy.
End rant.

I'd say that's more user error. You get fitted once decades ago and as you get bigger cuppage wise you assume you just need a larger cup size. It's a tricky science and if men did it we'd all be wearing bras with our boobies all pushed up and mashed together :D
