There was a book review in the WSJ about the third volume of the definitive "War in Europe" trilogy of books by a guy named Atkinson, I think. Anyway, there are a number of anecdotes in the book that I'd never heard, one of which is that, as French colonials worked their way across Europe with the allies, they raped and pillaged just as much as any Russian.

Perhaps, but stranger things have happened. I don't see what's revisionist about it.
Plus, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". It was anti-Nazi Wehrmacht soldiers, and the Wehrmacht didn't think very highly of the SS. |
