Im going back to work tomorrow , how to keep my hand splint clean?
Any good ideas? I was thinking about just either cutting up some old socks and sliding them over it, or just replacing the bandages every other day. This thing has to make it two weeks till my next appointment. My last one was pretty ugly after only 4 days.
Good news is , hand feels pretty good for having screws run through my bone. I got a script for vicodin, but have not had to dig into them yet. I hate pain pills.

When I broke my hand the same way I used XXL rubber gloves.

I guess I missed that you had surgery. Some new challenges ahead. The sock sounds like it would prevent sweating which you don't need. But dirt will get through, Better bring a few to work.

Vet wrap ......they sell a 'human' version at CVS and Walgreens. I'd just wrap the splint thoroughly with that.

Coban is the brand name one, medi rip is sort of the generic.
That stuff is sort of ridiculously pricey though, if you PM me your address I could send you a few rolls. Buy it by the case for the office.

There is a reason I ask for advice here. Thanks Tobra/guys. The saran wrap works pretty well. Had to develop a technique to apply it on handed, but I think it will do the trick for now.
