I hate to hear "Red Bull" won the race - again... Red Bull is a drink's name NOT a car; if you know what I mean. If they call their cars Infinity would be lots more appropiate (BTW I'm not an Infinity fan, but would sound lots better as a car racing brand). M2C.

Alonso has really grown on me the last couple of years. Narrowly losing out on WDC in 2010 he has strung together a lot of mature, consistent drives.

I was a HUGE Hamilton fan when he burst on the scene in 2007(?). So fun to watch the new kid hand everyone their asses. More recent dumb****tery turned me off a bit, but it's hard to remember sometimes these guys really are just out of their teens and still figuring out the world.

Anyway, I don't mind seeing Alonso challenging for WDC - I'd like to see him win it. Vettel's WDC's come with an asterisk in my book - the cars have been just too good. Give me a guy who can pull it off in an inferior car.

I'm just stoked that I get to watch it for free on Ch 4 (NY) (twice if I so choose.)
The only way I could get NBCSN was to buy a package that included the ShoTime bundle.
I hope NBC loses so much money this year that they give it back to Speed TV, and all the planets will be come back into alignment.

That's OK, Velocity is waiting. And ESPN has so many channels they could pick up a deal if they want. The are doing the NHRA now and have been since a lot of other racing has moved away.

Missed Kimi's 2013 tribute to James Hunt. He did a plain black one last year at Monaco, I wonder what the connection he has to Hunt? Seems to me he may have starting racer under the name of "James Hunt" to protect his privacy or some such thing. Anyone know?

As you may or may not know today (thursday) was practice 1 and 2.

The fast guys ran at the front, top ten being fairly predictable, I wont spoil it for you incase you're watching tonite.

Most teams seem to be making race runs on big fuel and medium tires.

Friday is media day then quali on Sat is still calling for showers (I hope).

In any case, the race will be fun to watch no matter what. Right?

Lots happening in last practice (wet) and 1st quali (drying). Should be a interesting grid for tomorrow.

Kimi is just a huge fan of James Hunt. It was a snowmobile race he entered as "James Hunt" back in '07.
