Monaco F1

Who do you like for next Sunday's Monaco race?.. Quali will be as good as the race I suppose. My fav race of the year, along with Canada, Spa and now COTA USA. Bring it on.

I'm all for kimi this year........
Tires will be interesting there...

I like Monaco for the history and the location, but honestly, the racing is usually just processional. I do like the fact that the emphasis is put on qualifying, rather than too much strategy.

I really think F1 should award points for fast qualifier at each race.

its a hard track to pass on and the mercedes qualify well.... however I think this is Kimi's race

Yeah, one point for quali might be a good idea. Kimi might be the man there, but don't forget Webber scored a pretty convincing win there last year to go with his 2010 win, so he knows his way around Monaco.

If he qualis ahead of Vettel, we'll have a good race on our hands until RB find a way to f**k -up one of his pitstops.

And don't forget Webber always qualis well at Monaco, even at Williams I think he had a pole there. Not real sure of the numbers but I think he's usually very near the front. If RB give him a good "starting" car we'll be off to the races as they say.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1368839081.jpg

I'm rooting for Lewis.

I'm for Hamilton also. But mostly I'm for anybody except Alonso and Vettel.

A Massa win wouldn't hurt my feelings either.

I'm tired of Red Bull.

FYI rain showers are forecast for Saturday (Quali) and fine and sun for Sunday, that could jazz things up. I hope some back or mid pact teams can make somthing happen this weekend. Maybe helped by a good or lucky qualifying run!
Get out front and try to hang on. Maybe.

Remember what Senna almost pulled off way back in '84 in (I think) a Toleman ?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1369175410.jpg

IMO senna did win that race..........:-)

And Monaco in the rain.....it always separates the the men from the boys :-)

I imagine its like skating on ice, in my simulator it take much patience and concentration out you're in the wall.....

Now let's all chant together.........kimi.........kimi..........kimi.. .......

Cannonball996 05-21-2013 02:50 PM

Mercedes can not make their tires last more then 3 laps, so unless its a wet race I dont see either one of them making it on the podium. looks like rain is forecast for qualifying, so that will play in to set ups for the race.

Top five will be Kimi, Alonso, Hamilton, Vettel, Grosjean. Hamilton on pole but will lose position in the pits to Kimi who will be on a one stopper and Alonso just because he seems to be made of awesome these days.

I like the way you think! Except I'd replace Roman with Sutil.

What a great place for a race. Not much passing but my favorite race of the year. This one and Montreal. Senna, I wish he was still doin' it.

Last year my wife walked the track (most of it) at Monaco, and I hope someday I'll get there. Over the years some GREAT races. Hope this Sunday can be a good one also.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1369222485.jpg

Looking forward to it. Hoping for Kimi.

intakexhaust 05-22-2013 04:16 AM

+1 to the Iceman. But maybe mix it up a bit and rattle Vettel, would like to see Webber pull off a win.

cairns 05-22-2013 04:50 AM

Would love to see anyone but Alonso or Vettel. Kimi would be best but I like the Hambone and Webber too.

My thoughts exactly., A bad day for Alonso and Vettel is a good day for me (watching a race). I like Ham and Webb too.
