Is there a cruise ship left that hasn't had a fire or been swept by contagious disease? The industry is not having a good year.

I've been on only one Cruise Ship ever. I named our ship:

***A TRAILER PARK WITH A PROPELLER***

Never again....

Royal Caribbean is a class outfit. I've been all over on the Mariner of the Seas and the Freedom of the Seas.....

Could use a good deal on a cruise next year after my nonsense and BS is over with. I like cruises...

You would have to pay me money to go on a cruise. Just very very glad that the rest of my family feels the same.

My wife has been trying to get me to take a cruise for the last few years. I keep telling her I had enough of that s%*t in the Navy! Maybe if I stay good and drunk the whole time.......

This is exactly the same conversation I had with my wife about going on cruise ships.

I've always wanted to go on a cruise, but in light of the past year or so, I am having second thoughts.

They dragged me kicking and screaming onto my first cruise ship. I actually had such a great time I've now been on 8 cruises. Celebrity is who I choose to cruise with. Top shelf company with great food. If you know of all the issues Carnival has and still use them because they are cheap, well then that's on you. Yes, I understand this particular issue was not with a Carnival ship.

We took the Alaska Cruise several years back. After a week inland in Alaska and the frantic pace trying to see as much as possible the cruise down Alaska's coast was great. It was not a Carnival cruise!

I played cruise ship gigs in the summer years ago. If people knew what REALLY goes on "below deck", they'd think twice about a "3 hour tour". At least playing the Redneck Riviera cruises were not as bad as being on a riverboat on the Mississippi.

Going on a cruise ship is like going to prison with a chance of drowning. Never again for me. Once was enough!

When I see a rash of ship trouble, the first thing that comes to my mind is lack of maintenance.

I did an Alaska Cruise. It was fantastic. Went with family. Recommend not to think of this as a cheap event, spend the money, do it right.

I was supposed to go on a cruise yesterday with the girlfriend. she's british, and here on a student visa (working on her masters). anyway, we called prior to the trip to find out what documentation was needed.....my passport would suffice, and a copy of her visa would suffice.

anyway, we go to the terminal yesterday, and sure enough, she is denied boarding due to not having a letter from her school (in addition to her US Visa, which allows entry and exit into the US for the next two years).

I know I'm going to have to fight for a refund....they said that since I decided not to board, it was voluntary. (Like I would go on the cruise by myself?)

Very irritated. Anyway, on the drive home, we booked another trip...so we're flying out in a few hours.

Disney cruises sans gambling are the best and I would take another Disney cruise again.

I know someone who's honeymoon cruise in the Caribbean ended when the cruise ship ran aground at around 1 a.m. That was about ten years ago. The industry seems to have not improved...

On a Disney cruise I believe NO ONE can enter the dining halls without using a sanitary wipe on their hands. Off the top of my head, I don't think any Disney cruise has had problems like the ones other cruise lines have seen.
