I don't like driers. They shrink and wear out your clothing very quickly. In my climate, line and coat hanger drying is a no-brainier. I like to hang inside the house too, to bring up the humidity a little.

Clothes line, rain storm, sun - repeat

Invent a way to get the Internet on your TELEPHONE!

You'll make billions!

Jim Richards 05-30-2013 02:23 PM

That's crazy talk!

Wash? Dry? Clothing?

I have been throwing out my clothes out when they get dirty!

Think of the money I will save, I'm going to be rich!

Perhaps this washer/dryer combo unit is worth $1.000,000,000?

If I had to opine, I think the critical factors favoring two devices are throughput (50% improvement with two machines after the first load); efficiency (optimize one for water and the other for heat; life (heat affecting plumbing components).

motion 05-31-2013 05:06 AM

You are right, Don. Perhaps there could be a hopper for the 2nd load?

red-beard 05-31-2013 05:09 AM

They had those in an apartment complex where I was a lifeguard in the 1980's. And the complex was at least 10 years old.

Or you could get two of the all in one units - they are only like $1,600 each...

I have this unit. It's good for small condos or in countries where they do not have driers (reason why I bought my unit). Decent wash and dry cycle is 3 hours depending on load. There is no exhaust and I've always wondered how it works. I've read bad reviews on how they usually STB about a year into service but mine has been o.k. for now. I had no other options.

Nothing beats a separate washer/dryer.

This has been done many times, over many years, and by many manufactures.....one of the biggest issues is lint control, but the biggest issue is people just didn't buy them. Believe me in all your appilance dreams much of its been tried and or sold. If there was a market we would make it.

As for becoming a billionarie in the appliance industry, start with a trillion.......sound familar
