These all in one units suck. I had one in my condo. It didn't wash well and took about three years to dry. Once finally dried the clothes had a burnt smell to them. It broke after only a couple years. Needless to say I did t spring the $1200-$1500 for a replacement all in one.

There are markets where these are a luxury. I have yet to see a separate washer/dryer unit in Brazil. These all-in-one units are hot right now even though they're somewhat crappy.
Another would be "split" air conditioning systems. 'never heard of them before checking out this country.
