High School Renunions , you going?

I have a 25 th coming up. I have zero desire to go. I did go to the ten year one and remember thinking it was silly. I blew off the 20. I still know where most of my old friends are now.

Just had my 10th, didn't go. There was a ton of drama and it ended up being maybe 50 people(including spouses) from a class

I went to my 25th and enjoyed it....although it was a country school with only 60 graduates, and at least half of us were together all 12 years, 30th is this Summer sometime.

I didn't go to mine last summer, the cost was $125 a person and you had to buy your own drinks, I didn't think it was worth $250 to see people I don't see now.

Had a blast at my 25th...looking forward to my 40th this year. Left town after high school, never moved back. Seems most of my class did the same. As such, lots of stories and such to catch up on. Another marker on ones life timeline...guess everyone's experience is different.

No - never have never will - my 45th is this year. I can't say I liked HS, I knew there was something better. I have a few "friends on FB and LinkedIn. After the how are you and some catching up, I have nothing in common with them, I honor the time time for what is was. I moved on - I'm ok with it.

If you are into that, go for it and enjoy!

I'm still friends with people in HS that were worth it. My 20th is coming up. I have no interest in attending.

Hell no. High school was an experience that I don't care to relive, and I still see and talk to my real friends on a regular basis. Missed 5, 10, and this year will be 15. Nope.

I went to a few of mine but not the last one - they are OK but I didn't really grow up with my graduating class - only lived here since middle of 10th grade so it's not the same for me as it is for those who lived here longer and attended school together since grade school.

It is what you make of it - like a lot of things in life.

I'd only go if my Teachers would be there.
Otherwise, no need. I worked more than I was in school.

My class couldn't even put together a 10th year reunion on time! lol We haven't had an actual reunion so far and who knows if they'll get their act together for the 15th.

I find it quite hilarious.

I got expelled from HS over 40 years ago. I'm not sure I'd be allowed to go even if I wanted to.

If I wanted to know what the high school football quarterback is up to, I'd ask him when he comes to mow my yard every saturday. No thanks.

there were 1100 people in my graduating class, at the end of summer for the last 25 years there has been a week end party at Doheney Camp Grounds, usually 100+- people show up, ex surfers and some that still do it. Not all from the same grade in HS but from the same school. It's free and I see my friends every year. Like I said in an earlier post, the reunion would cost me $250 and I already see the people I want.

My wife just had her 25th this past weekend. Maybe 30 folks showed out of a class of 200. Pretty lame overall but the wife did get to see and spend time with one of her best friends from high school. They've kept in touch all these years but have only been able to actually see each other a handful of times. For her, that made it worth the trip. -J
