Just wanting an insignia for the farm. The fab work already has a logo.
Now I'm thinking of using the 911 outline to look like the terrain with some horses grazing within/below.

Going left to right, and both in the same direction is the strongest messaging I've seen yet.
Nice work foxpaws. I actually like the one gassy posted too, the humor works.

What is the tie-in with a horse farm and a Porsche 911? I don't get it.

Well, you have a horse on the Porsche crest already, maybe some heavy modifying to make it your own?

Well, the crest is already a very recognizable logo. Not only would that be confusing for people, but the people at Porsche might object a little bit.

Sure, you can use the Stuttgart horse, even Ferrari stole it, most probably.
You could further tie into the Stuttgart name and call it the Stud Farm. Stud Duk Farm World Architecture Images- Quote:

I like it paws. But I think to keep it like Stuttgart go right to left.

Doug's idea makes the most sense. Trying to combine the two implies (to me) that you're not an expert at either. Horse people don't care about your car habit and car people don't care about your horse habit (yes, i'm sure there are a few who are exceptions).
Using the horse from the crest is very subtle. Some nice design work on this thread but I just don't think it's a smart move. One other phrase that might find a home here...horses for courses.

You say you want an insignia for the farm, but how will it be used?
Sign at property entrance? Business card? Letterhead? Vehicle lettering? You mention that you already have a logo for the fabrication business and you also mention draft horses above. The logo with the two line art pieces is confusing - do you have performance horses for jumping, performance horses for racing, performance cars, all of the above? The overlapping shapes also will only work in two color where they are separated visually, it doesn't appear either of these would work as a one color print. I think you would be better off using a single graphic, instead of forcing the two, or go in a different direction and play off the name for the graphic. If you do this logo wrong, it will look like you work on both Ford Mustangs and Porsche's.
