I just got access to million songs! Thanks Amazon Prime!

We signed up for Amazon Prime a couple of years ago just to get the free shipping. My wife if a big fan of online shopping so this let her order smaller items without having to batch orders to meet the $25 price point for free shipping.

Then they added videos. Pretty cool. They had some titles that were not on Netflix. Nice bonus. Works very well with my Kindle Fire.

Now they've added Prime Music. Wow! Spent most of yesterday adding songs to my music library... just over 200 of them to be exact. All included with the service. All streamable from my computer or phone, NOT on the Roku though .

I'm a cheapskate, but feel like Amazon Prime is a bargain at $99/year. Just hoping it stays at that price point for a while.

Interesting... I've been using Rdio for a couple of years, and recently switched to Google Play Music. I think I'd be disappointed with the library after using those... I think they have around 20 million?

Pretty sweet deal for those that are already using prime though!

Awesome! I didn't know about the music. I watch videos on my iPad and laptop all the time.

Tip, if you have a student email you are eligible for prime student for like $39 a year. Come book buying time that free shipping pays for itself.

The student Prime account is now $49/year. Really a great deal considering all you get. It does include the streaming music and videos, too.

Just figured out that you can download the songs for offline play too! Seems a little too good to be true. I've always used Pandora One, but they just raised their rates significantly. I just like to hear random music so Pandora was great for me. Finding and downloading songs is very time consuming! Wondering if my phone has enough memory for 251 songs. That's 18 hours worth of music!

We've been on Prime since the beginning. It's awesome. I buy almost everything I can there. A recent trip to my local Best Buy reminded me why I avoid shopping in stores at all costs, what a colossal waste of time. If it's not groceries, too large to ship, or needed sooner than 48 hours, it comes to me from either Amazon or Ebay.

I just upgraded my mother's Roku today. I think you can download a different "app" on the Roku to allow the streaming of music.
