Outblinged for a minute...
Sitting at a red lite in my 2001 Boxster base I saw a Porsche 914 coming in from another direction. It was being aggressively driven and had an exhaust note that took me back to the 1970's.Yes to die for. I have not seen one of these running for eons.
If you have one of these running or nearly running it gives me more of a thrill than seeing a brand new Porsche... ![]() |

I live in a great car neighborhood. From 1930's fords that are restored. Vintage 911's and 12's Ferrari's, '60's muscle cars, Bently's, Nissan GTR's a MGTD Austin Healy's and a pretty damn nice 914 in Green drives by often.
There's a original owner 55 T bird that is to die for in sea foam green that is thw nicest driven t-bird that I've ever seen. I'm lucky, Joanna understands when my head turns to listen to what's going by

When I started posting her *cough* 12 years ago *cough*
I asked a few questions here about my 944... I was told by the 911 guys to "roll it off a cliff" because it was a waste of time, money, and sheet metal... and presumably a disgrace to the mighty Porsche name... I kid you not! But then... that was before the pepperwagon ![]()

I wish I had not sold my 1976 first model year 924 bright yellow colored. Stunningly cute little car.

I see 944's in Los Angeles at least once a week. A 914 probably every couple of weeks.

You would never ever say again you've been out-blinged by a 914 if you've seen Dave's at TRE. If Porsche could do it all over again, they would all be like his — and then some.

The chebby V8 teener: ![]() ![]() The 2 liter turbo teener: ![]() ![]() I like these little cars, especially when they have the power to go with the handling. . |

I used to have to bite my tongue when I picked up a lady in the 944 and they would squeal "oh, what a cute car!!!!"
Now the Miata I would expect that... but (thank gaud) I don't date anymore... Keep repeating Scott... I will not sell the Miata for a 914... I will not sell the Miata for a 914...
