sounds reasonable, right?

well 2 of the 3 proposed to be cut are black. they are crying racism. it is a full blown race issue now, even though it has nothing to do with that.

johnnie cochran was there when there was another "issue" a few years ago.

makes me sick.

yep, he didn't like a post i made and threatened to kick my ass and called me a bunch of names. i made the mistake of playing his game, stuck out my chest, and called him a few names. my mother would have been very disapointed in me, "but he started it!" "That's no excuse...whack!" anyway, he claimed to have put me on his ignore list but i knew wouldn't actually do it...too self centered...must know what's being said about him. so, to make a long story short, he's off my christmas card list.

zuerchers, what part of Oakland do you live in? I grew up near Piedmont (Ashmount Ave). My dad bought our house there in 1964 for $27K. We sold it in the 80's for $500K. It's now worth >$700k.

i live in montclair, right next to piedmont. the prices are crazy around here. my father in-law bought his house in piedmont for 18k (in the 50's) and its appraised at 1.5 million. he recently purchased his FIRST new car, a honda accord, and had a real hard time paying more for that than the house. my wife grew up in piedmont as well and has seven siblings, you might know some of them...the Sheehans? Bob, Sue, Joanne, Patty, Erin, John, Katie? If you ever come home you'll have to look me up and we'll make a run on Grizzly Peak!

Montclair

Small world. My wife also grew up in Montclair on Indian Way (maiden name Kubicki) and we knew the Sheehans - especially Patty. My wife ended up going to St. Mary's College and there was a road going out that way that was absolutely ridiculous. You could take that road instead of going through the tunnel. Snake road I think it was called. It twisted so much you could meet yourself coming the other way. Lot of fun racing through that canyon in my Sunbeam Alpine.

thats funny. patty now owns her own financial consulting company in s.f. and has two children, 13 and 8.

snake road is almost too twisty, you rarely get out of first. i bet the sunbean was great on that road. bob has a 240z back then and would run it prety hard...you might have even raced him...

BBP, it's true, you don't seem to be able to shake your rep just by changing names. Perhaps you should sell the 993 and try some other make of sporting vehicle. Here, I'm including a link to another enthusiast site that should be a great new home for you:
http://www.nastyz28.com

There should be plenty of Eastern Mass townies there willing to help you find your fire-breathing dream machine. Er, I'm talking about cars.

BTW, how did the whole Amherst thing get started? Is it yet another thing BBP edited out of his posts? I've never seen so many edits in my life.

BBP, seriously- lowering springs can be really awful if matched shocks are not installed at the same time. There's been many a ricer who has shaved stock springs or installed some Jamex's that subsequently wonders why their car bounces like a check from Enron.
