Yeah, forget the message...the delivery is everything.
Pelican has had "spirited" discussions on modded vs original cars for a long, long time. For example: Critique This 72 RS Clone I've been all over the map on originality or modded, but hopefully not nasty in the process.

As Woody Allen put it: To be paranoid does not mean you are not being followed.

Without saying anything to offend someone with a pristine SC, let me just say that this is not what I want out of a Porsche. Nor am I in stewardship for the next owner.
Those things are great, if that is what you like. BTW, the way I usually sell one of my cars is to call someone up who has been for a ride in that particular car, with me driving. People WANT my cars. In any case it's apples and oranges, oranges give me the hives, and if you keep shoving them at me long enough, you will probably get the raspberry . Todd said it best. It's not what you say, it's how you say it. You seem like a decent guy. Don't make it personal, and don't take it personally. You will figure it out. |

Bingo.
There's nothign wrong with stirring up the dust, there's no (or shouldnt be) a party line to toe here or anywhere really. It's all about how you go about doing it. You can have strong opinions and try to express them in such a way as to not offend. You may be successful maybe 50% of the time. Likewise, there's nothing wrong with someone finding your opinion offensive, but doing so doesnt give them the right to call you a troll or throw verbal rocks back at you. There's culpability on both sides. Some folks need to learn when to STFU and others need to grow a pair and learn to accept that they're not always in the right.

re "chopping up and modifying perfectly good classic sports cars"
Perhaps you're looking at it from the wrong angle. It makes the originals that are left worth that much more by taking another one out of circulation. Jim

Hotrodding knows no boundaries. If I want to chop up a perfectly good classic SC by putting a tuner wing and batmobile pipes on it.....I will, regardless of what my online friends say or think.
I have no right to talk down other people's rides because it is their choice how to modify/update, not a group consensus. |

The OP is a douchenozzle, hence my adding the troll to the ignore list. My car, my rules, CWs need not apply.
Would suggest the admins check the IP address, pretty sure there is another screen name involved.
