I must be getting old because I never turn my detector on. Even the speed limit is starting to seem fast

Hmm, Port St Lucie, yeah, you're probably old, but maybe not quite as old as if you lived in Vero Bearch.

Being alert & actually driving is what saves me. Along with a healthy dose of luck. Radar detectors are illegal here & I never have one for my many jaunts south of the border.

(And btw LA drivers are wusses)

Waze is awesome. Coupled with a V1, situational awareness is a thing of the past. Helps me stay safe and stay responsible. Oh if I could get a great Laser Jammer?

And that right there is why there are so many dicks on the road.

Read the whole thing. The Situational awareness is actually enhanced, so I misspoke. Waze reminds you of what is coming. It also reminds you that Law Enforcement is ALWAYs present so mind your p's and q's, and don't be a dick.

Yes. and it reminds you now and again that not everyone is going to save your butt by posting a cop. I still watch for brake lights 2-3 miles up on the highway.
