I'm still really enjoying these photos, particularly the ones with old ships.
This one is my favorite by far. I like everything about it, including the subjects and the title: "Senorita Lenore Riviero with Antony Jannus in Rex Smith aeroplane". I imagine the hats are there only for the photo. I like the facial expressions. ![]() |

Fantastic!.....just loved them all!
A trully different era.....I would say that in almost all those photos, men, women, and children alike, whether in uniform or "casually" dressed.....they practically all wore hats!....so cool to see that!

Amazingly, the battleship Texas (Photo # 12) still exists and is open for touring although it is suffering some serious structural issues.
Docked near the San Jacinto battlefield monument off of the Houston ship channel. It is the last of the dreadnaught class of battleships and served in both WWI and WWII (part of the Normandy invasion fleet)..
