Is it a Man Card violation if I open a business specializing in foot massages for women? My girlfriend has said to me many times, "You could make good money doing that" and at first she was laughing and joking, but now she's actually encouraging me to open a business doing foot massages for women.

Maybe it's a West Coast thing, but women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s seem to enjoy spending money on their feet -- pedicures, fancy toenail polish, ankle jewelry. My girlfriend thinks there is a niche market for foot massages, just waiting to be discovered. I think she's right, but this seems like a Nordstrom kind of business, and I'm just an old-school guy with a brushcut haircut. Can I just put on my mechanic's overalls to do this?

The trend around here lately is these cheap "foot" massage places. Almost all of them are Asian owned and run from $20-$40 per hour. I put "foot" because it's really more of a whole body-ish massage with your clothes on. I have been to one several times and I think they are worth the money. They do your head, arms and back (~30 minutes) and your feet (~30 minutes).

I don't know what you were looking for $$ wise, but I wouldn't want to rub womens feet for an hour for that kind of cash.

I would guess for every Bar Rafaeli that comes in, you have 100 Roseanne's.

If you are going to get a small shop, some undocumented Asian import workers to do the rubbing for you and treat them like your own herd of hoes then no, no card violation.
