Is there a commercial series more douchebaggish than Miller 64?

The godawful list of 'best beers' thread prompted me to post this. I can't think of a more comically obvious attempt to change the reality of a product.

That jingle in the commercial has me reaching for the remote not for a miller 64.

I like how they use a hardcore "bro" theme to advertise a pussy beer. Define irony.....

Man I am glad I almost never hear radio. Pandora supplies my music. My DVR protects me from the TV commercials. I have never heard the commercial you mention. I hope to keep it that way.

I like rewording annoying jingles.

Here's to sixty more,
Here's to sixty more,
We've been king of the beers for all of these years,
and here's to sixty more.

Maybe if we put it in one of these:

What many been snobs don't know is, the American beers they like to dis so much are just ONE PARTICULAR TYPE OF BEER.

There are many types of beer. The most popular in North America is pale lager, often called "THE AMERICAN LAGER". It is also the most polular style of beer in the world.
More people in the world like American pale type lager than any other beer, but they're all wrong. Right?

Pale lager is designed to be a light, smooth, easy drinking beer. And in that endevour it excells.
Here are a few other brands of Pale (American) lager:
Molson Canadian, Labatt Blue, Kokanee, Carling Black Label, and Old Style Pilsner.
Pale lager is by far the most popular beer in canada.

but for those who don't really like beer but enjoying buying bitter, nasty, expensive beers in order to impress, we could always put in waaaay too many hops in an attempt to disguise the crap taste.
Or we could roast the malt until it's burned and make the beer almost black ...... naw no fool would every buy anything like that.

The top 5 best selling beers in the world are:

Snow beer. About 61.0 million. Sales are believed to be almost all-domestic in China.

Bud Light, 55.6 million hectoliters (hl) or 47.38 million barrels. Up from about 39 million barrels in 2005. Bud Light is America’s best-selling beer since 2001, with about 16% total market share, and only sold internationally in appreciative quantities in Sweden, Ireland, Colombia, Canada and Mexico.

Budweiser, 43.4 million hl, or 36.98 million barrels. It ranks second to its lighter brother in the US along with Miller Lite, Corona Extra and Coors Lite.

Skol (Brazil), 35.4 million hl; 30.16 million barrels. Few people expect Brazil to be a beer-drinking country, but its 200 million population consumes millions of barrels annually. Skol dominates the local market, Brahma sharing 20% and Antarctica 14%.

Corona, 32.7 million hl; 27.86 million barrels. This is Mexico’s top beer, with Tecate and Dos Equis second and third. Tecate Light touts itself, however, as the local best selling light beer. Corona is also sold in the United States and 150 other countries.

Heineken, 29.1million hl; 24.79 million barrels. This Dutch beer that began in 1873 is often carried alone by many beerhalls in the country, pumped from trucks insted of unloaded from heavy barrels. The Pilsner is also sold abroad, often competing favorably agains t local brands, and Heineken is also brewed in 39 countries aside from the Netherlands.

It's decent beer, but they've recently made it pretty light and the non-light version is getting hard to find outside of Chengdu. China's sheer population numbers will make its domestic beer sales through the roof.

I like all sorts of beer. But when it's 100 outside and I just finished mowing the yard, or I'm floating on a lake somewhere, I'll be drinking Miller Lite.

Yea, really not caring about being in a bar scene bromance with my friends and singing a lame azz song to make us feel better about drinking piss water.

I like several different brands and styles of beer, but currently, Bud Platinum seems to be most prevalent in my fridge !

Where's our buddy Keith when you need him? Not that his beer is much better.

Oh, here is right now... he's so smooth... always.

I wonder with football season coming up if there will be a new ad soon.

What makes American beer almost to completely untennable is the pasturization. Enough alcohol and there is no need to pasturize. That is the process which gives it the nasty taste. I am told from some of the people (and former people) at Coors that what comes out before pasturizing is smooth and delightful. After pasturization the beer has an off-taste and an after-taste.

Again though, not everyone can taste the effects so it is not an issue to them.

After drinking regular beer in Belgium and France for a couple of years I understood why I NEVER had a taste for the stuff here in The States.
