Saturday I took my 1947 Dodge WD-15 out on the road for the first time. It's been seven long years since I started taking it apart. There is still work to do, but I can at least drive it on a daily basis now. Looking back, it seems like decades, not seven years.
 The year I bought the truck - 1985. Successful Farming magazine came out to did a story on it.  2004, still a work truck. About this time Lindsey Crawford came out and made a couple of videos of my truck (sorry, there are ads). '47 Dodge pickup part 1 - YouTube '47 Dodge Pickup part 2 - YouTube  I started the restoration in 2006  Two weeks ago - looking pretty raw, but you could see potential. Last Saturday - on the road!

I just found these. McGee Street Productions leased the truck for a couple of months in the fall of 2002 to make the movie A Painted House. Here are some shots of WD "in costume." Thanks for all the nice comments.

Sweet. I am also amazed at how long the old Gal stayed in trusty service. You will never get that from a new one.
