Nice car, I love that dark green color in that year of body style, plus the dark maroon on an overcast day also looks good on that car.

Love it. Great color, great lines and still somewhat affordable compared to the c2.

I also have almost the same car ALSO in boxes. A 1972 454 auto with AC . Original colour was green but it was repainted red about 15 yrs ago.
I like looking at it in the garage more than actually driving one.

Nice. The Apollo Fella's wore this vehicle as their transportational suit.

Donnybrooke was one of the greatest greens on a C3. The other was Fathom Green. My '71 in Steel Cities Grey. May not be everyone's fave, but it does have the best name ever given a paint.

Nice job. Too bad it is an auto. This is the last gen Vette that still came predominantly with a stick. I had a 71 ragtop for a while in sunflower yellow. Bucket list item.

I like it ! Just as it is. Automatic & all. But Carters Steel City Grey 71.........WOW +1. Best color option for a Corvette. IMO.

Indeed - not a pony or Muscle car - the C2/C3 platform was a lot sportier than some of the Euro car snobs may think. I.e. the engine was behind the rear wheels. It was the later 70s and 80s when the Vette became a pig, albeit still with independent rear suspension.

I think you mean Engine was behind the FRONT wheels.
I have my 72 big block Vette parked beside my 911 , biggest difference is the extra foot of length and the extra 500 lbs.
The Vette from about 74 to 82 deserved it,s "pregnant whale" nickname . Horsepower was down to something like 165 hp from the 350 . I think my old SC was something like 180? during the same period.
Marketing focus changed and they sold to people like my mother. (Who owned a 1975 when new and liked it alot)
