I love odd swaps, but a big iron lump like that out back can't be good for weight distribution.

I think that car was built in the 90's. It certainly has made the rounds on the internet forums for years now. I don't know exactly what year a red registration tag is for CA, but any that I can find on one of my older cars is buried deep in the stack.

Big block swap

Some years ago, a friend of mine built a mid engine Toronado 455 cu in powered Corvair coupe. Even with the rear wheel wells tubbed and wearing fat slicks, it would light up the rear tires at will! The heat off the engine was almost unbearable making it a mostly winter driver. As mentioned above, just because you can doesn't mean you should!
