While living in the San Joaquin valley in the 80's, I went on a date with Jody Stayner(Steven Stayner's sister). Went to dinner, then for a ride out to the lake in my 67 GTO. All she wanted to do was get in the back seat. Way too aggressive for me.

I once saw a member of ZZ Top when I was a medical student. Can't say which one or why..patient confidentiality and all.

That is really cool. That's one person I would have really liked to have met.

Met Kareem Abdul Jabar and Nicolette Sheridan in LAX.

Spec'd out an air-speed pitot tube for Miss Budweiser hydroplane back late 80's.

Spent an IHRA weekend with Jack Ostrander(Top Fuel Driver) and rode back to the starting line in his tow vehicle after he won the event. Filmed on ESPN.

Spent an afternoon talking with Don Garlits at an IHRA event. Awesome stories!

He was quite gracious...showed well-mannered interest in me...I would guess because his friend (Jill Morrisey) brought me by and he was protective of her.
I do remember that he found just about everything humorous...probably because he was being recognized as an international leader (guru) in the human potential movement. Something that I've noticed that highly integrated people do. He chuckled and giggled not unlike Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
Also, he was a good friend of Aldous Huxley who turned him on to LSD...so he said.

Johnny Bench, Pete Rose, Deion Sanders. Hung out with the red headed guy who was Dr Evil's son when my friend talked me into spending a day as an extra on some horrible movie he was in. Really nice guy though. Rose...not so much.

Shuffled cars around for Tom Jones, Trini Lopez, Elton John, Dick Clark.
Was escorted out of Red Foxx's home for being white.
Spent countless hours playing pool with Flip Wilson in his Malibu home.
Had breakfast many times with Farrah Fawcett and her mother.
Tried to teach Ringo Starr how to drive a standard transmission. (miserable failure)
Repaired John Travoltas Tbird before he became a douch.
Built a Lola T70 coupe for Dan Haggerty.
Had dinner with Andre The Giant.
Drove Burts Reynolds Daytona coupe for a week.
Restored a mini cooper for Clint Eastwood.
Met Steve McQueen at a mechanics shop in Van Nuys.
Painted a Dino Ferrari for Cher.
Built a custom 911 for Ice T before he was Ice T.
Have a great friend who was Vidal Sassoons second wife.

For those who aren't familiar with Alan Watts...an English gentleman who held multiple degrees in theology and a Doctorate in Divinity. Best known in US as one who compared/contrasted the Eastern Sacred Psychologies with Western Psychology for the common man to understand.
San Francisco PBS radio station had a weekly recording of his speeches.
Unreal to think of today.

Met Matt from Nip/Tuck a few years ago. I kept asking him about Kimber. He took it like a good sport, LOL. Then, I punted him at the kart track at Miller in SLC, hahaha. I think I have a video of it somewhere.

A lifetime ago I ran a record store (when they actually sold records), Robert Perish would be in every few weeks. Fast forward to a few years ago, I worked part time at a Barnes & Noble and a regular customer was Paul Pierce. And PARF asside, my best (27ish years) friend's brother is Jay Carney.

My ex wife and I were eating at a sandwich shop here in Tucson in the 1980's. Michael Landon and 1 of his sons walked in. My ex didn't recognize him until I told her who he was. It started raining and his car was parked next to ours with the windows down. I went over and said " Excuse me Mr. Landon but it's raining and your windows are down". He thanked me, went out and closed his windows. When he came back in, he came over and signed a napkin for my ex. What was surprising to us was that it was a small rundown sandwich shop that you wouldn't expect a celebrity to walk into.
It was common to see Lee Marvin shopping at the grocery store that I used to shop at also in Tucson. He used to drive a ratty old pick up truck.
I used to work for an elderly couple doing yard work and running errands. They had a picture on their bookshelf of a guy I recognized but couldn't place. I asked them who he was and it turned out to be the guitarist Marty Freidman who at the time was playing for Megadeth. He was their great nephew. They called Marty's mom and she hooked me up with backstage passes for the Megadeth concert when they played Phoenix! Marty's birthday was coming up so the aunt and uncle gave me a birthday card for Marty. Suicidal Tendencies was opening for them. What a great show! I met Marty, Dave Mustaine, Dave Ellefson and Nick Menza. I still have the autographed t-shirt that I had made into a poster.

Donovan McNabb worked out at a Lifetime Fitness health club I belonged to several years ago here in Phoenix. Used to take my daughter there when she was little since they had an indoor pool. McNabb and several AZ Cardinals players were hanging out in the pool when my daughter started to climb on one of their backs! They were very understanding and took turns making her laugh.

McNabb was very nice to the people there. Everybody seemed to know who he was. He couldn't get very far without someone wanting to strike up a conversation.

Saw Paul Newman at the record store in Westport, CT early 70's. Didn't know who he was. I was about 12 years old.

Linda Blair from The Exorcist was in my homeroom class in high school.

Did you ever meet Patrick Dempsey? He's real popular at the ALMS races. I can't figure out why.

I shot the bull and downed numerous coffees with Angela Davis and friends when we were at U.C, and her roommate was my studio mate on campus...much to the consternation of several right wing fringe lunatics on the PARF forum.
