Name-Dropping for Fun...

I'll start with a mild one...I shook hands w/Paul Hornung in the MN airport.
I was on leave from the military and asked, and he said, "Sure kid."
We looked at each other, shook hands and parted. The End.
.
Shook the hand of Bob Richards (Decathlon) & Joe Montana.
Worked out at Fitness 101 in Menlo Park, CA and on first-name basis with 49ers Jamie Williams, Jerry Rice, Tom Rathman, and NFL MVP Roger Craig. Craig and I sat buck naked in the locker room once and bragged about how well we could BBQ chicken. He liked to soak his in Heineken beer.
.
OK, who's next?

Since you started the sentence with "Craig and I sat buck naked..." please clarify what you mean when you wrote "He liked to soak his in Heineken beer."

I worked on Space Jam, so I met and shot hoops with Michael Jordan, Patrick Ewing, Muggsy Bogues and Larry Johnson. And Charles Barkley told me he was going to "kick my ass!" (he was joking). I also worked on Steel and shot around with Shaq.

I've helped the Governor of Florida pick a few games out for his son (Bob Graham). Being a 12 year old, I had no idea of who he was until he thanked me and gave me a business card.

My family has had close calls with fame and fortune...

Grandpa Jack was approached by his buddy Sam in the early 20s about these newfangled moving picture things. Gramps wasn't sure and wasn't gonna bet the grocery money on it, so Sam Goldwyn found a different partner to form MGM with.

Grandpa Jack's wife was the secretary to the GM for the '32 Olympics - my mom and uncle both have a set of medals from those games, and Coke bought a ton of her personal footage to possibly use for commercials when the '84 games were back in LA (they didn't use it...) ... one of her best friends got a modeling contract and posed for the painting that became the "Columbia Lady" for Columbia motion pictures.

How about some more Olympic stuff? A cousin was in the trials to compete for the year we boycotted the Russian games. When I worked at a local hospital, one the guys in my department was a diver for the Belgian Olympic team. Here at the college, our former TV studio manager was the coach for the US Fencing team. One of our instructors got a medal in a long distance running event for Jamaica.

When I was learning to program at an after school program in the early 80s one of my classmates - Craig Silverstein - was a few seats down. He applied himself in high school (I smoked dope and chased girls) and went to college at Stanford, and was approached about forming a company. He denied, and opted to become the first employee instead. The company? Google.

My wife used to help Andrew Copeland (Sister Hazel) with his homework, and I've gotten fishing advice from Tom Petty's father.

Sigourney Weaver was in a cafe with Giovanni Ribisi and she kept REALLY looking at me. I was expecting someone to deliver me a note saying "Ms Weaver would like to see you in her hotel room at 7:00 sharp." Strangely no note arrived I look like lots of people and she maybe mistakenly thought I was someone important

My industry is entertainment related so my list is way too long.

Probably a blip compared to Hugh's though.

Met Imelda Marcos in 1986. She knew my grandma and used to come over.

No, I didn't see the shoes.

My most recent fun one was hanging out with Ginger Lynn after spotting her two seats over at a sushi bar. Had a good chat with her. Met Lemmy the next night at the Rainbow. On the way out I ran into Chris Squire and Peter Criss took the photo of me with Chris.

I rode down the parking lot elevator with Mike Ditka in Chicago once. He was wearing a super bowl ring that was big as a wristwatch. I said 'nice ring'. I think he said **** you when he got off.

I see Michael Moore once in a while. Actually, I try to see around him.

Just before I wake up I see Halle Barrry.

I also watch TV sometimes.

I'd be more interested in knowing who the important people are that I've been around and not recognized, rather than "celebrities".

In 1988 I was in NYC for thanksgiving with family. I was 16 and went down to the sidewalk to have a smoke. I went back into hotel and stepped in elevator and James Hetfield and Jason Newsted of Metallica stepped in. I was a huge fan and it was just the three of us. I was in shock and couldn't say a word. I remember James seemed so tall to me. I've met or bumped into many famous people since but that was my first and ill never forget it.

People are always eye ballin' me and asking who I am. If it's a female I usually tell her I'm a body double in the porn industry. If male, my identity is classified. If questionable, 'No Ingles, no Ingles.'

Honestly Motion, you wouldn't want to be Pierce Brosnan. Have you seen pics of his fat cow wife. She's about an exact opposite of yours.
