Does anyone park their 911 outdoors?
Just wondering how uncommon this is.
If you park it outdoors, what car cover do you use? |

My Targa lives outside but the paint is trashed anyway. I just have a sheet of 60mil shower pan that I cover the top and glass with.
My Coupe lives in better conditions than I do, she has her own garage

I parked my 997 outside in Seattle for over 2 years. No car cover. There is no road salt, and relatively low UV exposure in Seattle. No problems.

I don't understand why the sleeping bag kind isn't more popular.
Where you drive onto the cover, and then zip the entire thing shut & sealed. |

Condensation although might be fine for even climate areas yet even in those situations, cool nights and warmer daytime can build enough moisture. Unless you can find a way to constant circulate and evac the air, its not really worth it.

I leave the Ferrari outside....I was worried, then I realized that my next door neighbor leaves his new Maserati, and his new Rolls Royce, outside, too. ...and the guy down the street leaves his new 991 outside.

Yep, it's outside. Nope, there's no cover.

Of course I park it outside. I don't have a garage every place I drive it to. Now, once I'm back home it goes in the garage.
Which reminds me, time to wash the car. Its dusty from being in the garage.

I parked the 911 outside, on the street, for about seven years. No problems. Once I even left it double parked for a whole night because I couldn't be bothered driving around for five minutes looking for a park.

Envy is unbecoming.
On topic, yes, I've been known to leave the car outside. ![]()

LOL. I read about that last week. Hard for me to believe none of the architects or engineers wondered about that huge curved glass surface.
For the OP. My car is a DD and the paint isn't perfect. I don't mind parking outside but I choose to park inside my garage. I throw a sheet over the top so I don't have to kill the cats. -J

Nah, they're made of metal. No plastic like those silly Jags.

My old targa lived outside for the 5 years that I had it.
I got a car cover for it, but rarely used it.
