-Thank you for the R rating and the nudity. A movie for grown ups is fine with me since I am one. If the movie flops at the box office because mom and dad can't bring the kiddos, I could care less.

Saw the movie tonight. Liked it a lot. I agree some of it was too loud. And Lab, what's wrong with a few hot chicks showing their boobs?!

That begs the question... Would you rather live 45 years of total excitement like Hunt or live 60-70 years of mediocrity then total decline. I know which I'd choose ;)

Saw the movie, liked it, very well done, could have had more racing. Odd in retrospect that I knew of Lauda but not Hunt.

Just saw the movie this evening. Really enjoyed it. Wife did too. Only negative for me was that it did not really convey the speed of the cars very well. Too many of the racing shots were slow corners or in slow motion such that the cars looked like they were traveling at walking pace. Thought both leads did a terrific job with their characters.

OK, so I'm late to the party but we finally went to see it. Have always been a big fan of F1 and recall that era well. To begin with, I now think Sat. night at the movies is passé as there was only one other couple in the theater... lol.

It met every expectation. My guess is Ron Howard had to make good promise to the FIA and F1 in not portraying them as a crackpot cheese organization. Agree with others above on actor Daniel Bruhl as Lauda. Have to admit back then, I was never fond of Lauda but only had respect for him after his horrific crash. I've seen documentaries and Lauda interviews but the Rush movie with drama makes me appreciate him far more today.

Great how the movie portrays these rivals not only in racing but philosophy in life. Very cool to see how they become in good understanding and respect in the end. Done just right and nothing over the top.

Technicals - Terrific. Actors, scenery, period cars, attire, visual effects were super, soundtrack (honorable mention to Hans Zimmer).

Big deal to those whining about the nude scenes. This is not a kiddie story. If your concerned for the kids, I would think inappropriate language, gestures, drugs and alcohol heavy consumption would be more on the radar than some T&A shots.

My gal loved it too, including the minimal nudie scenes. She's also a big fan of Frankenheimer's epic film Grand Prix too and was interesting to hear her comparison. That one gets the sound cranked up when played but funny she said would rather listen to the 60's vs. 70's era engines! No doubt the Rush movie on disc release will be big.

Sounds like she's a keeper.

Movie silly footnote details question. The scene - Nurburgring, Lauda's crash. Wife Marlene is arriving from somewhere in a 1966 or 67 BMW 2000 tiLux sedan. That would have been considered an old car in 1976 and surely they have had the latest car, perhaps a BMW Bavaria?

Was that Andy Samberg on the podium portraying Jody Scheckter?

Seems like the philosophical differences were exaggerated somewhat to add some spice to the movie - according to the wikipedia article on James Hunt, he and Lauda were friends off track and were flat mates for a period of time.

I saw it at the premier, thought it was OK. I just got back from watching it again. still ok. the last 20 minutes are the best.

Some of my good friends from earlier in life were from different walks/philosophies. A lot of what we had in common was sharing with each other that which we did not have in common. As long as each is noble and benign in their part as show in the show'n tell game then things are smooth.

I for one enjoyed it! I was ok with the r rating. I didn't want to sit with kids.

Hell make it a mini-series on HBO! Start in the early 60's and stop in the Senna era.

Saw it last night with my wife and (older teenage) kids. We all thought it was great.

Both actors were excellent - they were spot on the real guys, but agree with the earlier posts - the Lauda actor was exceptional.

And yes, I caught the 911 in the crash scene :). Very brief shot.

Watched it last night too and thoroughly enjoyed it..Interesting from beginning to end..My favorite part was when Lauda's car was mobbed for coming in 4th, with no interest in who came in 1st..Real fans showing love....

Lots of nude scenes??? I guess I must've seen a different movie. I remember a few boobs here & there but those scenes were quite tame by today's standards. Funny how people will be so concerned about kids seeing a nipple but not worried at all about them seeing the carnage and gore depicted in the crash scenes or in Lauda's burn treatments. Compared to the graphic sex that kids can easily access on their smart phones nowadays, the few nude scenes in this film would probably seem pretty dull anyway.

We saw t today. My wife liked it as much as I did. The few nude scenes were no big deal.

I did like the hitchhiking scene. Pretty funny.

Awesome movie!! I'm behind the times on watching it but did tonight.

My 7yo daughter watched with me( I diverted her attention during the nekkid scenes).

I enjoyed the racing footage but thought the story itself was very interesting. I wasn't an F1 fan back then(I was only 8 or so) but I wish I had been.

I watched in on an aeroplane recently, and to be fair that's not a good format to watch a big, loud racing movie.

Because then you have to rely on the story, the writing and the acting. All of which -especially the writing- are really really bad.
