All true but the NFL draft statement. Bradshaw was the #1 pick in 1970. |
No pic, but I can't believe we got this far without someone saying Radar O'Reilly

M*A*S*H will always be (to me) the #1 show to ever air on TV. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gm4YJjYMDk...57-320-240.jpg |

I wasn't a huge fan of the show necessarily but he was really great in his role anyway --- and so the post. <iframe width="640" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/jhZ4w8Kg4J4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

I can't think of a single role I like John Ritter in, even on shows I liked. Something about his acting always rubbed me the wrong way.
The fictional Matt LeBlanc may be my favorite character on a show right now: http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/...ticleLarge.jpg A hilarious take on celebrity, UK/US cultural differences, and network tv culture, and in the middle is LeBlanc's self-destructive, impulsive, character who, when the chips are down, is a decent guy. |

Lorene Greene went on to star in Battlestar Galactica (the original series) as Adama, which some scifi nuts like me see as an endearing TV character. Pernell Roberts went on to star in Trapper John M.D. (the continuation of the character from M.A.S.H) which aired from 1979 till 1986, providing another notable endearing TV character. Dan Blocker "Hoss" was the only Cartwright that did not have another endearing TV character after Bonanza because he died in 1972, one year before the end of filming of Bonanza.:( |

I don't think there were any characters NOT deserving of the endearing characterization on this show....including in latter seasons Woody Harrelson and Kelsey Grammer.... |
