Does this sound familiar?

Ever take the wife/girlfirend for a ride and have her scream in fear?

A hell of a ride at the Nordschleife. - YouTube

What a pompous ass; there really is no point in frightening your passengers (unless they ask for it). I can understand incrementally faster test-drives, giving her some wheel-time with instruction, until she feels confident with what's going on and then providing a high-speed demonstration. To just go for a "scare ride" doesn't do either of them any good.

My dad got a sales drone to almost quit his job while shopping for a new Porsche back in the late '80s. 911sc "at speed" thru some local twisties... our twisties are just a few curves at a time. Lots of long sweeping curves as well. Not like mountain driving or anything... I thought it was about like at speed in the 356, just faster.

When Mrs. Beard was only a GF, we did Lyons Valley Rd south of San Diego. We arrived at the bottom and I told her could release her death grip of the door handle.

I was so proud of her. She didn't scream at all. When I told her this she said: "I was too busy praying..."

That is simply a copy of the Riccardo Patrese video from several years ago.

I gave my FIL a ride at Barber Motorsports Park a few years ago. He's always been a "car guy" (American muscle cars) and was convinced he knew what he was getting himself into.

He got out of the car after the run session and simply said, "I wasn't prepared for that". He said he spent the first two laps simply trying not to throw up and the rest holding on for dear life. I was actually taking it easy lapping 5 or 6 seconds a lap slower than typical.

Back in the 80's at a DE I did a fun lap at the end of the event on a small twisty track with the wife in my slope nose 911, first turn and she was screaming! She had been at speed many times before on the road, just not like this on a track. Oh, also turned the fastest time of the day on that lap with her in the car!!
