Rock house in North Laguna. Story was that they took off the top of the rock, built most of the house, and put the top back on:

Early settlers around here used to build with the most available materials. When the Chinese finished building the transcontinental railroad many came south from San Francisco to So Cal. They were experts with rock!

Built in 1896, it has survived some very large earthquakes!

Polish immigrant, Konstany Stys, who moved to Claremont from Ohio, built these out of river rock and broken concrete - both of which he got for free:

Million dollar lots, LOL! Each of those lots is easily worth $15 million. That's a cool house. I've checked it out from a wave runner.
