Rock house in North Laguna. Story was that they took off the top of the rock, built most of the house, and put the top back on:

Early settlers around here used to build with the most available materials. When the Chinese finished building the transcontinental railroad many came south from San Francisco to So Cal. They were experts with rock!

The house I lived in during college was pretty cool.....at least what went on inside!

Whenever we decide to stop traveling and settle down, we plan on a pre-fab very similar to this on a beachfront lot somewhere equatorial. Something around 1,000 sq ft.
