Actually my 1979 SC, that I bought new, came with all silver painted 15X6 and 15X7 cookie cutters as the standard option. I then changed the wheels to the 16" Fuchs' with Pirelli P7's, the rage then. The earlier, pre SC, non turbo, non 930, models porbably also came strandard with 15" cookie cutters and 16" Fuchs as an option.

well...I think speeder mentioned that 77 was a transition year. my car is original. it has black trim, with black fuchs. some cars had black anodized...some were chrome.

That's re-donk-cu-lous. :D Fun stuff. Great lighting, too!

Next time, do one with the cam rolling as approach from the distance. So far away that the engine note is just audible. Don't be shy about using the F-car either. ;)

Btw, in no way am I advocating you exceed the posted speed limit....bro.

You're a bad influence, Mike. I just peeked on CL, and there's an '85 Turbolook cab on sale for $25K. Ditch the wheels for some Fuchs (just might have a spare set) and it'll look pretty good.

Great car! You're so lucky to have scored a car from that period that doesn't need much. Enjoy!

Embraer 12-13-2013 08:46 PM

I did luck out. ive been eyeing 911's again for a couple of years, but was a bit discouraged by how high prices have been climbing. great for the guys who have them...not so great for the guys who want to buy (or get back into one).

to put things in perspective, this 911 cost less then what the belt service on my Ferrari cost me last spring....and the 911 is a heck of a lot of fun.

Just tell the wife that it's cheaper than other hobbies such as gambling, hookers & blow, etc.;)
