Check out these custom lamps!!

My friend Kevin makes these custom lamps, pretty neat stuff. ...
He has these 3 along with some awesome custom ceiling fixtures, he says the ceiling ones are tricky to ship so he doesn't list them on his page......I see them as sort of steampunkish......
He can custom make anything, using different brand bottles and such...

Quality custom stuff....
I'll get some pics of some of the bigger pieces. ..

Here is his etsy page....

Interesting work, I'm sure at the right place they would look fitting.

No leg lamps?

I personally think they are pretty cool, and would fit in great at a hip restaurant or urban loft. In my traditional home not so much.

Those are cool, but would be a hard fit in my McHouse.
I'm envious of creative people.

I think there is probably a market for those (warehouse style restaurant, art gallery) but I don't see them being a hit amoungst the general public and family homes.

You may suggest to your friend to lose the "leftover plumbing parts" look, and go with a "steampunk" look. Some of what you have posted would work fine in that genre if you just lose the galvanized pipe. Work with copper and brass, and work in some black and burgundy colors also.

If he is going to use galvanized, find a way to mute the shiny look. Age the pipe. Or paint the pipe. Or use black iron. Just don't let it look like anybody with a Lowes nearby could have cobbled it together.

Make it art.

Hey, why would you want something cool and original like that, when you can buy some off the shelf, made in China POS?

Very cool. Great ideas and designs. Hope he does well with them

Good thoughts, I'll pass that along.
