I know you're trying to make a joke but that wouldn't fit into my theme here. My yard is like a botanical jungle so maybe holding a rake or tiki torch - it will be cool whatever I get figured out.....

My friend Mikey walked into my portable cabin/mancave/workshop and had the same reaction. I'd got used to Delores being there so forgot to warn him.

I was going to put a holster and fake 357S&W (topless and wearing a 357 - my sorta girl) but GF said some nutter would call the police and they would come around and shoot Delores. So to keep the peace I didn't.

Yeah - good call. No need to stir up the liberals any more than they are already....lol....

I'm used to Holyanna as well. Just another resident here!

a friend was very into life/figure drawing. quite good at it. dedicated to the craft. at one point he was deciding if he should buy a sketelton to practice anatomy or a mannequin for studying drapery and gesture.

i told him as a single guy in his thirties it was probably slightly less creepy to have a skeleton.

You need to get her a hula skirt and a coconut bra.

What, they don't have French maids in Florida?

Not a bad idea! There's a guy down the street with a imitation shark chained up to his mailbox. I think his intent was to display it - but it looks really dumb the way it's just leaning against the mailbox.

But it reminded me that I purchased an inflatable Great White Shark about a year or so ago but never used it. I wonder if I could incorporate my shark with Holyanna. Maybe she could hold it under one arm......with a Tiki torch in the other. Wearing a hula skirt and coconut bra would totally complete the ensemble!

Went over to one of my monthly accounts this afternoon to spray for weeds. I had a guy trim the palms yesterday too, and wanted to check out the work he did before paying tomorrow. On the way back I had to get a couple items from Publix and also got some Chinese take out. On the way home through the neighborhood back roads I like to take - I see these. Commendable the owner left the note - plus the fans all wrapped up - fasteners included. I don't know anything about this speaker but will try it out later tonight.

I plan to drop something in their mailbox this week thanking them for their effort in helping these items find a new home in good condition. It will be a thank you card and maybe a twenty and note telling them I'd like to buy them lunch or a cold one. I firmly believe that people like this should receive some from of gratification and recognition.

Baz didn't you pick up a surf board a while back ? You made a chair back out of it ? Could you have her sitting in the chair ? It fits your theme .

That was a half of a surfboard and I still have it. Not going to make a chair out of it. But thanks for the suggestion. I already have THREE garden benches dispersed throughout my gardens so if anything she would be lounging on one of them. That way there's room for me to sit next to her!

You can see one of them here - needs a little work but is functional.......

This is the new to me GMC.
2016 with 25000 km on it and it was a kijiji find.
Went to see the truck and had a nice visit with the old guy that was selling.
When I got back to my truck, I had sent my wife a text saying this is the truck we have been looking for.
I was able to sell my old 2004 2500hd and since I am not teaching next year also sold my commuter car all within 4 days of leaving on holidays!
Truck has been wonderful and having the diesel makes all the difference towing.

Does that truck even KNOW you have a trailer attached?
Great tow rig!
I'd really be jealous if it would fit in my garage, but it won't fit so I'm not jealous, just happy you found it.

I will admit that I overcooked a couple of corners in the Rogers pass because I forgot the trailer was back there.
Did the kootenay pass a few days ago and that was a lot of climbing! So far about 2500 km towing and averaging about 14 mpg.
Unloaded on the highway it’s best mileage was almost 25 mpg!

Found a dryer on the curb on my way home today. Got some funny looks but what else is new. Perfect fit on the rack.

Reminds me of a summer night back in the early 80s. We “borrowed” a stand up Space Invaders machine from a fraternity in downtown Atlanta and brought it home on the roof of a VW bug, tied down with a garden hose, at 3 o’clock in the morning.

To be young and stupid...
