Both great answers! I turned it upside down this morning and it's in almost perfect condition - still has the little plastic discs on the ends of each leg! Remarkable!

Excellent score! And perfect for your application!

I saw a couple of those here a couple times but ended up not stopping because I didn't think that style shelf was up my alley - but may have to re-think now.

Today....brand new 5 pack of AC filters.......and a microwave. The microwave ended up not working. But hey it's was worth a try! Wish HobieMarty was here - he could probably fix it.

Do be careful. I don't know much about them but I'm always wary of things like this. There may be big capacitors inside.

Curbside score this morning on the way to one of my accounts. This property is where I got that TV table last week. There was also a nice dresser but I didn't need one so left it. This sleeper sofa is in excellent condition and will come in handy when I have out of town guests.

Great! Now you can have drinks out on the veranda with Dorothy, Blanche, Rose and Sophia!

LOL......yeah I know. But I don't care. Already have it set up in the living room and the damn thing is more comfortable than my old one --- and as I said I now have another bed in the house!

There is a label inside from the local furniture company (Hudsons) who sold it - and it's one that an old girlfriend of mine had as her best client when she was doing silk flowers here.

Yes! I work on vacuum tube amplifiers which pack hundreds of volts into capacitors, but I will NOT touch a microwave oven.

Thanks for the heads up, guys. I probably won't mess with it. I still have the Kenmore microwave I bought used in 1990 that still works perfect!

Picked up this GE Vortalex fan at a garage sale for $15.
It weighs about 20 pounds and is from the 40's or 50's.

It worked fine but the switch was broken off, so it had 1 speed and you turned it off by unplugging it.
I picked up a switch and replaced it today.
Now it works great. It even oscillates.

^^^ I remember, as a kid, my parents having one exactly like that.
It seemed to move much more air than the cheap plastic ones made nowadays.

Thanks.

It works better than any of the modern plastic fans I have.
