Lunch

What do you guys eat for lunch at work?

The deli down the street and the Pizza place are to expensive and to fattening

Salad's a pain.

So what to eat? I have a weber grill and a microwave at the shop

leftovers from dinner last night. Versus that, sometimes something from Amy's or other such faire.

On your list you could grill your own hamburger or steak or otherwise on the grill. Clean-up and cleanliness would be your big concern at that stage.

Wife either makes me a sammich or there is a subway, dominoes, and local latin place on campus. Leave campus and we have several mexican, 3 bbq places, or the usual fast foood crap to choose from.

I brown bag it. I usually take four sandwiches, a poptart or something along the fun and non healthy line, always a banana, and a couple of packs of nabs. I rarely use lunch time for eating, I just graze all day long.

I still take my lunch every day unless I am at another office for meetings. In that case, THEY buy lunch.

I don't take much time to eat. I usually eat at my desk. I know I should, though.

Not very healthy but I typically take a HotPocket or other microwaveable item.

Glass of Red wine and a Diet Pepsi, "siete Y Tres" style, maybe a piece of Babybel or string cheese. Couple a Doritos. Good to go. I'm gonna live forever!

When I worked from home, I always cooked a lot at night so I'd have leftovers for lunch the next day. I loved it and really miss it. Now that I go to an office every day and since there are no refrigerators there, I eat in the company cafeteria, which is dirt cheap and even has a sushi chef every day. One day I'll get a cheesesteak and fries, two or three days I'll get a chicken cesar wrap, one day sushi and one day a burrito. We have great coffee for $1 too. But then there's so much food floating around the office too. Since my group are all contractors, we sometimes get left off the emails telling everyone else that lunch is being catered. It's happened more than once that we all went to get food at the cafeteria, came back to our desks and they had just delivered enough sandwiches and pizzas to feed an army.

Typically leftovers from dinner but I've been cooking pork tenderloins recently and just creating something new from them. Poor man's cassoulet for dinner with a whole tenderloin easily becomes shredded pork tacos with a just a re-seasoning. Rarely go out, the combination of freedom and a food coma means I can't work for the rest of the day.

Executive dining room. It's taken out of my pay, so I eat there as often as I can.

Meat in a bag, a couple pieces of fruit, and a liter of water.

Eat while driving between appointments.

Meat being chicken breast, turkey burger patty, left over meat loaf...you get the picture.

You guys are making me hungry - and jealous. I've decided to goto a cafe a couple of bays away and have a gourmet pie and latte, plus I'll bring dog and share the pie with him. Being a different time zone it's nearly lunch so bye.

PB&J and baby carrots. Leftovers, if there are any. When I owned my business I took a sack lunch virtually every day. Our office and warehouse staff ate out virtually every day.

Skyline once a week, local Mexican once a week, brought from home otherwise. But I get a lot of opportunities to stop at random places in the area, and I travel a lot.

At home: I make a bacon + something sandwich many days.
On the road: Wendys, Subway, 5 Guys, McD - anything I can suck in for fast fuel in a rental car. I'm THAT guy sitting in his car scarfing his burger & fries in 3 minutes.

I'm spoiled , I moved my parents into the house that was on the property of my shop . I get a home cooked lunch by mom every day. I'm getting fat.
Before that, leftovers, a sandwich and some chips, a nuke o wave dinner, or eat off the hot lamps at the local quickie mart. I rarely sit down to eat, usually a wrench in one hand, and a fork in the other . I don't like a big lunch either, I'd rather eat small, and grab a little snack at 2 -3 ish to hold me over .

I'd weigh 300 lbs if Mom cooked me lunch. But I'd be happy
I'm going to buy everything to make wraps and try that

My lunch depends on the errands I do that day. Sometimes if I have no reason to leave I will just eat some fruit I brought and a couple of cheese sticks. On Tuesday I usually eat with a buddy. One or the other of us picks the place and it varies between several different places.

If I am out and about on a errand I will pick a place close to where I have the errand. My work hours are very flexible. I can take a long lunch if needed but if I don't have a project to do at lunch I ma sit at my desk and never leave for lunch. It up to me.

Unless I had a huge lunch I usually have an apple or orange or some grapes during the day. Sometimes all three.
