Shame on the TV stations...
They burn up so much electricity broadcasting commercials instead of just the shows I want to watch (not to mention all the shows that I don't watch). What a waste of natural resources. They should be banned.

And the same for the radio stations. Who listens to radio anymore? With Internet radio and smart phones who needs a radio with 1920s technology?

Yeah. While we're at it, lets ban hairdryers. I don't use one so why should anyone else be allowed to have one.

Actually, I had a similar thought regarding smog checks of cars. I understand the necessity of smog laws and how much they've improved air quality. But at the same time, as I stood in line a week ago and got two of my cars smogged while watching another 5 customers get their cars tested, I wondered how much gasoline gets wasted on this industry every year. What's the carbon footprint of annual/bienniel smog testing? I have never had a car not pass.
