2014 will be a good year
2013 was something of a roller coaster. For the last 3 weeks I've had this feeling that 2014 will be a good year. Not a "could be" feeling, but rather a "will be" feeling. Very optimistic.
Anyone else feel good about 2014? Any big plans? Happy New Year to everyone here, I hope it's a great one for us all.

My business has taken off nicely and I feel optimistic about 2014. Very optimistic. But sometimes I get this little niggling feeling that things are going too well and the other shoe will drop. Probably on my head.
![]() The last few years have been pretty rough, so having things roll to my benefit without a knock-down fight every inch of the way just feels odd. Hoping it's just that feeling you get when you've held the throttle at wide open so long that anything less feels like coasting. Goals? Got a couple of 24 hour races on the calendar and three (mini) vacations scheduled with the husband. He only knows about one of them, but he's going on three. ![]() angela

I don't do good-bad. Perhaps some years have been better than others but I don't see many people I'd want to change places with.

If 2014 isn't a drastic improvement over 2013, I give up. I can't think of anything that would have made 2013 worse. Except death. Which might have been a break-even.

13 was miserable for my household. I am hoping 14 will bring the changes that we are trying to set in motion. If we manage to sell our house (in this crappy market) we will be on the way to a better life.

I'm just cleaning up the dust from three BIG projects that have taken my live over during the past two years. Feeling a sense of freedom and the opportunity to choose new projects - or not. I'm setting a reasonable travel schedule and slowing down some. I started a book, but had no time to work in it before, so that may be my 2014 - or not. I am optimistic about 2014!

Funny. 2013 was very difficult for me as well. I know lots of folks who also had this experience. Easily the most difficult work year I have experienced. I think the remainder of the recession is lurking (gone now?) and we forget about it having lived it for five years. Regardless, it was a tough year.
2014? I am going to surf through it with ease! Realizing me vulnerabilities has given me tools to innoculate against them. Larry |

It's good to see the new year come in. More politics, more great golf coverage on tv,
hopefully better golf on my part, continued good or let's say reasonable health, more good food, travelling , red wine in moderation... No complaints. ![]() G. |

2013 was a very good year, but I think 2014 will be even better. Life is what you make of it and I refuse to cry in my beer.

I have a little bit different outlook than most people. The way I look at it, your life runs minute to minute, not a year at a time. If you have this epiphany to make some kind of grand change in your life or whatever, why do you have to wait until the last two digits of the date change? Do it right away. Screw the whole " Next year is gonna be different" To me, " resolutions" are just a piss poor excuse to put off something you really don't wanna do.
When you wake up on on January 1st, nothing is going to be magically different then any other day. It's gonna be the same as today or tomorrow.
