How do I delete a thread?

If I wanted to delete this thread how do I go about it?

Delete the post, but I don't think it will delete once someone else posts, like I just did.

Otherwise it takes a moderator to delete a thread.

Garage
You should find somebody else whose anniversary is coming up and make another post with the identical subject line and cut/paste the info from Wikipedia. I'd get a chuckle.
