Feynman books

Hi Guys,

I am seeking a little help to find a series of books by Feynman. He was a theoretical physicist who published a series of books. My son who is a graduate student, wants the original series for Christmas. My question is; how do I know if the series was his original or a newer version???

Anyone here familiar with this and can help direct me into the right area???

Ebay has several listed....but how do I know??

Thanks!!

try a used book store - many are online, Powell's is one

BTW - the books are great; unusual for a undergrad. physics major text (I like the Berkeley books for that) tho Cal tech used them as texts

I will check Powells. But how do I know which series to purchase? My son mentioned a newer or revised series that isn't as well done.
Actually my son is in graduate school at FSU. He graduated from Miami U in Ohio majored in Chemistry and Physics and plans for a Phd in Chemistry.

call them up and ask - while I doubt you will find too many Physics PhDs there (all the unemployed ones after the SCSC was defunded started driving taxis AFAIK) all the workers are book nerds - ask for the technical books people if needed

I believe it's Richard Feynman.
I heard one as an audio book years ago, there was a chapter(?) where he described his method of finding the combination to his colleague's safes. I'd like a copy of that book to give to a locksmith buddy of mine.

alibris.com will also point you to first (and signed) editions. They're an aggregator of lots of little book shops...

You can get the whole lecture series (latest version ) for $140 on Amazon. For an original, you'll have to hit ebay or alibris or other site.

They are called the Feynman lectures. Original editions were large format, red cover, multiple volumes. I had them back in the 70s, no idea where they are now.

Also try "adall" for used books. They reference sources around the world:
