Currently sitting at $14,450...crazy. If Ripple does the same, you can find me in one of my many RSR's

Really? That would be up $3k from yesterday.

biosurfer1 12-07-2017 04:17 AM

Now $15,500

From a spectator standpoint, this is very interesting. The curve cant keep going vertical forever. There is absolutely nothing to support this pricing, except peoples desire to get on the ride up.

I wish I could have got in on this, but I probably would have punched out long ago. I think certain options (?) are going to be permitted to be traded on CBO soon, and institutional investors are creeping in trying to make a quick buck. Once you can bet on the downside, prepare to get bent over by the big money.

It was bound to happen.

NiceHash head of marketing Andrej P. Škraba told Reuters on Thursday that the hack was “a highly professional attack with sophisticated social engineering” and that about 4,700 bitcoin, worth about $63.92 million at current prices, were lost.

biosurfer1 12-07-2017 06:48 AM

$16,330 and counting. This is going to be a massive crash when it happens.

TheMentat 12-07-2017 06:58 AM

I have to imagine that when futures start trading on bitcoin, the ability to easily short the currency will have a dramatic impact on price...

pitargue 12-07-2017 01:07 PM

Why is bitcoin valued in dollars? Shouldn't it be it's own standard?

MikeSid 12-07-2017 01:15 PM

It is. One bitcoin is worth one bitcoin. Just like one dollar is worth one dollar.
Today one bitcoin would buy you about 3500 pints of beer in the UK or about 5000 gallons of gas in San Francisco.

i am into ripple, also. please IM with your take on where ripple is going. my take is that ripple has an actual business plan, backed by escrow, backed by commercial support.

thanks,

d.

They want to replace swift.
They are already bigger than you'd think in Asia.
And yes, I have some.

SBI Ripple Asia Brings Blockhain-Based Cross-border Payments to South Korea

I was at a conference a couple of months back where they were talking about being the western union of Asia. As in already transacting a decent chunk of business.

Don't have a source, so take it for what it cost you.

I bought into Ripple as well. It will be the next millionaires coin.

I've made decent coin from from both Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.

That's pretty much it. It will never be at Bitcoin prices like today, but ripple wouldn't work if they were.

Slow and steady rise.

The big rotation into alt-coins today seems to have missed ripple.

I'm betting Monday will be a zoo. I know extended hours futures for XBT starts Sunday, but Monday is when everyone will pile in.

Anyone care to guess the direction? I'll put myself out there and go with a down swing at first. Too much $ to be made on a drop, and it's due a good pullback. Anyone else care to hazard their 0.02BTC?
