Stop the guessing game and end this drama. Since he got caught taking pictures why don't you pay him a visit and ask him what he wants, answer all his questions.
That's a great way to walk into the muzzle of a gun.

Right on here - look at all those dirt fields and no house for miles around.

Guardsred911 12-28-2013 12:28 PM

That's super sketchy.... don't walk up there solo.... talk to the cops.... I'd prefer to not read about you on CNN....

And frankly, I would suggest the Forum Collective should be impress you dodged him when he was trying to scratch your car.... I know I am...

I'm going to weigh in one more time against my better judgment. I'm always telling my staff to watch what people do, not what they say. Actions speak louder than words, particularly when it comes to politics and legal matters. This not only applies to the criminals of the world, but to each and every one of us as well. In my mind, this incident is not a big deal to you, and there are two reasons I am saying that. First, rather than immediately call the cops out to your place of work after the secretary tells you the security system videoed him taking pictures of your car, you post this story on this forum looking for advice. Nothing wrong with that, but you should have posted after you called the cops to report this. Second, I was born at night, but not last night. Nobody in there right mind would run out to tackle a moving car unless they were on drugs or crazy. That tells me there is some type of history with this guy, maybe with you or maybe with your company.

You should have already reported this to the cops and gotten a copy of the report, regardless of what the cops do. It would not surprise me if everybody at your work didn't drive over roofing tacks come Monday morning. But what do I know, as a prosecutor, my clientele are either crazy or hard damn mean.

What ever you do on the highway in front of his house is between you and the state. It doesn't concern him, he has no recourse except to call and complain to the sheriff. He can take all the pictures he likes. He can take a video of you doing 90mph and send it in...he has what is called a moot point, his opinions/observations have no bearing on the legality of what you are doing because he is not affected by your actions.

That being said, if you have some prior history with Mr. Nutcase, i'd consider letting the authorities know he is escalating the situation--although what he is doing is all perfectly legal so far.

I am going to error on the side of rationality at this point and tell you to stop by one day and just see what he wants. If he wants you to slow down, tell him you'd be happy to oblige. You know this is still America, you can do whatever you want--each and every day.

Let's be more pacific.

Which house?

Is it the one with the swimming pool? If that is the house, you got a true nut case on your hands. Nice monstro-crib in the middle of a dust bowl with 18 wheelers belching smoke all day.

If it's one of the mobile homes, in the upper right, then that's gotta be expected behavior. Not that mobile home living is a bad thing, they just seem to draw more alien abductions vs stick built.

Eh... didn't he trespass into the posted lot and get caught on video? Could prosecute....

That would get ripped to shreds.

I may turn around in business parking lots if I get lost. Who is to say I am a criminal if I see I Porsche in the lot I just love and write down the license plate number.

If prosecuted successfully, it would be one of the wimpiest misdemeanors on the books.

To the OP --

You're being set up. He is a crazy person looking for $$$. You drive a Porsche... to most people, that means you have deep pockets and you're an elitist pig, right? He filed a police report against you, complete with photos. You need to get a copy of that police report, immediately. DO NOT approach him or get out of your car when he is nearby. HE WILL accuse you of something, and he will use the first "police report" to back up his claim. He is creating a paper trail.

Is it absolutely necessary for you to drive past his house? He is a crazy person. I think it would be worth an extra few minutes to take an alternate route from now on. This battle is not worth it. He knows where you work, and soon he might find out where you live.

This seems almost plausible. Trailer park dude pulling the throw yourself in front of a car trick?

re: comments about 'nutcase', etc.
the work building on Google Maps is ......

Ready Roast Nut Company.:D

Isn't that a house -right on the street- (50ft south)
of where OP marked the 'nut' jumped out?

Living just off an airport runway and being
bothered by sound of a P car = nuts!

I agree, get your version on record.

More than likely the car jumping dude already has history with the local Gendarmes and is probably gathering evidence for the next phone call to the POPO. A squeaky wheel does get the grease on this sort of thing.
I'd advise to have an officer come over to your office so they can get your side of the story prior to them setting up a speed trap in the dudes driveway and you getting a citation for a mile over the speed limit. If you have a good working relationship with them established and they understand the dude's a whack it'll all be easier to cover on the front end rather than a day in court for whatever reason.

Good job on finding the airport. I had to look at seven airports before I found the right one.;)

House in your pic is not 300 feet away, though.

Need confirm of correct house so we can do some speculatin'.

I bet it's a District 9 trailer park resident who failed on getting hit and went to take pics of the car to file a report of tidybuoy's attempted murder.

RE: Noise - Airport and semi's - ALL DAY? One stinkin' 180hp car without a cat (maybe) 1/4 mile around the corner flooring it. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Nut case.

Words of wisdom right here. Crazy or mean.

Yes! Was thinking this as well.

JMatta 12-28-2013 06:08 PM

I don't even understand the forum discussion. I would have pulled over just up the road and immediately called the authorities...they could have addressed the incident at that time and the rest would have been moot.

CountD 12-28-2013 07:16 PM

This is a great forum discussion. I would trust the majority of you guys having my back and if I had any problems in the future I wouldn't bother to hire a PI...

Well then, there you go. The Cook County finest woulda been all over that dude.

One phone call. Everything is moot.

This tickles the ***** outta me.

I would love to hear the phone transcripts of you explaining the crazy antics and then the resultant scream for action from the po-po.

Dude, I had videotape in Anchorage of a drug dealer coming home - across the street from my $160k home (1989) - and then 20 cars rolled up in the next two hours, including pregnant women, buying their stash. Cop dispatch said, "Well we don't have that many enforcement officers, so.....".

You're an angry sort of a fellow aren't you Bob. Chill !!
