I went and saw The Founder starring Michael Keaton. He nails it portraying Ray Kroc.
|
Recently saw "The Greatest Show on Earth". It's been more than 25 years and I'd forgot how good it was.
Seems somethings don't change. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2QswjButLfA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
^^ Good one, Peter. I watched "Planet of the Apes" last night - Heston was great, as always.
That was a heck of a movie, especially the ending. Watching "The Outlaw Josey Wales" on TCM right now - directed by and starring Clint Eastwood, one of my favourites of his. "We got something called a Missouri Boat Ride".....:D |
I love the classic Westerns.
How about this one Baz? "There are two kinds of people in his up-tight world, his victims and his women. And sometimes you can't tell them apart." Lee Marvin & the famous Nut crunch scene! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/301Qqvfy5fg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Watching: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southland_Tales It is very post 9/11 California. It is best watched on copious amounts of psychedelics. Here is a plot summery interpretation:Everything you were afraid to ask about “Southland Tales” - Salon.com You will never completely understand the plot summery. |

Just ran across this movie clip....those old John Wayne movies were damn good!
I watched "True Grit" the other night for the umptenth time....the scenery in that one is absolutely breath taking. Here's that clip - from "Big Jake"... <iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/3opoCWqrEPI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

I watched this the other night. Generally better than I expected but not one of Will's better efforts. It started off OK but soon became predictable, the ending was truly stupid and not even remotely believable. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/MxCRgtdAuBo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Streaming free on Amazon Prime now. A story of a fanatical Giants sports fan..starring Patton Oswalt

Not a movie but watching old X-Files shows on My65. The one on right now features Darren McGavin of "The Night Stalker" fame.
Back in the day I watched this show religiously. This entire series would be one that would go in that 'deserted island' category.... |
My son and I are watching "Wrecker" on Syfy. It is an absolute ripoff of "Duel" except the pyscho is driving a tow truck. Seriously. It's almost over so we are interested to see how it ends and if they copy that, too. At least the 2 chicks in it are better looking than Dennis Weaver. SmileWavy
