Cruise and Foxx were just amazing.

Of course anything directed by Michael Mann is fantastic!

Salt, Angelina Jolie is a badass spy. I guess I saw this a few years ago but it was still a fun movie.

Watched the last part of it too - seen it a few times. Always great!

"The Man from Snowy River" is just fantastic on many levels. I hadn't seen it in a while and really enjoyed it.

I have not seen the westworld movie in maybe 40 years. The HBO series is good though.

I don't remember any Liam movie that wasn't good.

How about "Suspect" from '87 with Cher and Dennis Quaid? And John Mahoney.

Sort-a movie thread related.

Has anyone found a good working program or app that does a good job cataloging your home DVD collection? We like movies and have way more than I care to admit..

Cheers

Are they ripped to a local or networked drive? Plex and Kodi are good library managers if so.

Kodi will let you play them in DVD format and Plex will not, they have to be ripped to MKV or similar. Plex will let you stream them to other devices, even if you are on the road.

No. I'm not very tech savvy.

But I once had a job and received as part of my perks full cable TV access - the entire enchilada. This was pre-DVD days. So I set about to record in VHS as many movies as I could using the VHS recorder and programming it every day to record various movies. I ended up with a library of about 8 boxes of tapes....each one with about 3 movies on it. In order to keep track of what I had I used a notebook with alphabetized pages and wrote each movie down by title - referencing each tape by number.

Risky Business was on the "R" page. Find it, the number next to it, and then find the tape.

On a completely different topic - great seeing you on here again Bugs!

Was a good movie. I am sure they modeled it on Los Angeles drivers. The road range scenes were realistic from what have seen in the City of the Angels.

Watched this a couple of days ago. Saw it when it first came out. Time for second viewing. I have always been cautious of anyone serving tea and almond cookies because of this movie.

It seems to be on all the time but I have not watched it since it first came out. Bill Murray was pretty good back then.
