From what animal are these tracks from?
I just spotted this in a little patch of snow about 2 feet from my front door. We have a lot of deer and around here in central CT, but i know this isn't a deer print. I think its too big (about 7") to be a raccoon. Any ideas what could have made this? Tell me its not a bear.

Not Bear. Bear looks more like people with big sole and shorter toes.
Looks like coon although coon have 5 digits, I see 4 in the pic. Could be two digits melted together. If coon would be hind, can get up to 4 inches. The other 3 inches could just be from the snow melting enlarging the print. I say coon.

looks like raccoon. and i'd be more freaked out by a coon that size than any black bear.
and i think al the bears should be asleep about now. it's no kind of cat. and it's too big to be what it looks like. the snow has to have distorted it somehow. how far is the stride between prints?
