Recommend a good looking analog watch <$200 that doesn't lose time

I have a diver's watch with a rubber strap. Love its looks but it loses time every other week or so. I thought it was the battery but no. Without warning, it's off by 3 or 4 minutes. Not a big deal but it's still annoying.

Can you recommend a sports watch brand under $200 that keeps flawless time? I really want to stay away from belt buckle sized time pieces that seem to be all the rage. I want a classic look, not pimp. TIA.

Luminox. Not new, but they're all over the place in your price range used. They aren't chronometer certified or anything, but they're accurate enough (not gonna lose 3-4 minutes in 2 weeks) tough as nails, come in reasonable case sizes and look good.

I have found Casio to be accurate for very reasonable prices. Good looking, however, is determined by you.

I was intrigued by the Citizen BM8475-00X watch: No batteries needed, gets charged with photo element face plate, and is somewhat water proof. It costs about $130.-. I got it and it does keep time extremely well:

Any quartz watch should keep accurate time. Has nothing to do with the cost or brand. If yours is really a quartz watch and it losing time, I suspect there's something wrong/broken. You can go to Walmart and get a Casio dive watch for uner $100. My youngest son has been wearing the same one for 3 years and it remains spot-on. Just get any quartz watch that you like and feels comfortable and you should be fine. Also, have a look at Invicta's offerings on-line.

There is a huge range of Casio Watches with the Wave Ceptor technology that synchronizes its time with 6 radio stations all over the world (2 in the US IIRC). If you combine it with the Tough Solar Power that uses light to recharge the battery you end up with a 100% accurate watch that never needs its batteries replaced (so no loss of water proof capabilities).

Here are some models all under 250$ (and some under 50$)

wave ceptor, Mens, Atomic Timekeeping, Analog, Digital, Watches | CASIO America, Inc.

Ah, and by the way, that is the kind of watch I wear daily

I would vote for a Seiko or Citizen. No snob appeal, but they're nice looking watches and keep good time.

Check out Orient watches. Great for the money and cool history. You can get an automatic for under $200.

But...be a bit careful. Don't know the OP's age, but "busy" watches like above can be hard to read at times. Legibility has become a priority as the years move along...

+1 on Citizen ecodrive, huge line in different styles (divers, pilots, dress)

I wear a Casio solar atomic at work solar means it charges on ambient light, never needs a battery (same for ecodrive), atomic means it syncs with the atomic clock by radio every night... they are accurate to the second every day.

Casio Men's PAW1500-1V Pathfinder Multi-Band Solar Atomic Ultimate Watch: Watches: Amazon.com

I have several Seiko automatic's, some here don't like them but I have never had a problem with any of them. Seiko has also come out with a solar line.

One other note on the Eco-Drive, I saved about $150 over the cheapest local retail store by ordering on Ebay.

My wife gave me a Citizen with Eco-Drive last summer.
I really like it.

I kind of like those Casios also, but Casio was so closely associated with dimestore calculators and watches for so long that it's hard to imagine it as a quality product.

I have an Orange monster, a 009, and a "white knight."

I lust after a blue monster but they were limited edition and difficult to find... and when I do find one they bring $$$

+1

BTW: Thinking I paid near $20 + or -. Incredible technology for near nothing. Not the most attractive but is stainless steel, has been in the lake numerous times, atomic timed, solar w/ batt. backup, backlight & glow hands, world timers, chrono, daylight saving auto-set. Don't have do anything and every night it self corrects if needed.
