Suggest a paint scheme for my VFR

93 VFR originally pearl white, painted ducati yellow by a PO. 40k in mileage, excellent condition. I bought it used back in 2007. I was hit by a 19 year old a few years back, very low speed accident, her insurance company gave me double what it was worth and I bought it back for $389.00. I rode it home, only cosmetic damage and not that much of it. Last summer a shop I took it to before a trip tipped it over causing more damage. They are fixing all the plastics on the bike, prepped to be painted. The damage they did and everything else.

What color and/or paint scheme would you go with??

jet fookin black!

The best look I've seen on a Viffer was white base with red and blue accents.

The color choice quandry will drive you insane. I have your back in this matter; you must sell it to me. Your long term health is my primary concern.

Mine was a 1990, red w/white wheels. Still my preference.

Paisley, then sell it, it seems to be a magnet for gravity issues. Some vehicles are just cursed.

I always liked the colors on my RC30:

Then again, I also liked some of the colors they used on their bikes in the mid-'80's, like on this VF1000R:

Whatever you choose, you might consider changing the upholstery on your seat. I can't see that working well with any color scheme.

The reason it has gravity issues is because it wants, nay, NEEDS to be red white and blue. The seat and the wheels tell the tale.

I second Motion's motion !

The original, graphic free white paint scheme is what initially attracted me to the bike back when they were new. I picked this one up a couple of years ago.

The white does look nice and I've thought before about painting it back to stock. The seat will definitely be re covered or re colored to black no matter the choice.

I'm also not wanting to spend a lot of money and have a guy who works at very reasonable rates. I'll have to talk to him about the cost of reproducing the pearl vs. another option.

I love the black wheels on the R/W/B bikes.

Your bike looks great, I've always admired it; no other color but white would work for the wheels, but the OP bike needs a change, and I was just working with what was there.

OK thanks for the explanation - that makes sense.

I agree with your thoughts and also white would work if that seat gets reupholstered to black.
