Wow...just checking in for a quick dose of PPOT, and then saw this thread title. Like a kick in the nuts before I even opened it. Be strong Fred, you and your family ARE gonna get through this! Go ahead and prepare for "beating away the hound dawgs" on down the line...your precious little girl is a cutie. Use this place as needed...we can't "fix it", but maybe we can help with the journey. Best wishes to you and yours brother!!!

You and your family are in my thoughts.

Fred,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I keep meaning to drive up to your shop to meet you, but life keeps getting in the way. I work downtown and only 10 minutes away from Children's. I'll send you a PM with my contact info, please use it if you get sick of hospital food and would like a change of pace or just want to grab a coffee or beer.

A few years ago, a buddy of mine in NYC found out his son had leukemia. He was 13 or 14 at the time. I was the first non-family member he told and went through it with him as best I could from 300 miles away. He has been cancer free for ten months now and is looking at colleges. I just spoke with him and his best advice is to get the best doctor you can. I know Children's is a great hospital, but do you think you have the best doctor? I can call around if you like. I don't think I know any cancer doctors, but I know plenty of other doctors and I'm sure they would know who to go to.

Good luck and best wishes,
Chad

Sorry to hear it, Fred. I wish you and your family the best and am looking forward to the post where you tell us she's kicked cancer's ass.

Best wishes - be strong for her. She'll look to you for guidance about how to deal with things as she gets older. All the best.

Best wishes and prayers sent. Take care of the peanut, and take care of your other family members, but also make sure to take care of yourself.

I'll be thinking of you and your family all day today and say a prayer as well. I don't have knowledge or experience with this one but after reading through the thread, it sounds like there is a lot of hope for recovery.

Let's all stay positive for Fred and family.

Sorry to hear this Fred. Tough facing adversity such as this right out of the starting gate, but all will be fine, just a tough road for a bit. She sure is a cutie, it will take more than this to slow her down!
