How did I miss this.

Fred, you have a beautiful, little fighter there, she'll surprise you and make you up your game.

My prayers are with you and your family.

I've been meaning to update this thread. Again guys, thanks for your kind words, prayers, and offers to help. This is a great group here.
I'm sitting here at Childrens Hospital with her right now.
She has just finished up her second round, of four chemo treatments. Last week, we got test results from her first round , and they are telling us that she is already in remission . Great news!!
If all goes as planned, we should be a whole family again mid summer.
Chemo, has not really been as bad as I expected. She has had a few sores, and some minor discomfort, but she really is growing into a happy healthy little baby .
Our first few weeks were a little rocky , there was one point where I was sure I was watching my baby girl die, but by the third day of treatments she made a miraculous turn around .

If there's anything I can do to help.....

Best to you.....Baz & the girls

Fred, that is great news! (She is absolutely adorable! And such a big smile for her daddy!)

(My heart wrenched when I read a couple of the lines that you wrote about the chemo. Stay strong my friend. We're all fighting for you and your family together!)

Fred, preemies are tough! They are natural born fighters. My daughter was born at 28 weeks (2# 2oz) and now at 3, one would never be able to tell! Here's hoping that she just keeps going forward like the cute little fighter that she is!

I am one happy guy today. Almost 5 months to the day from her diagnosis, she has completed her last round of chemo, and we finally brought her home for good today.
Traci went into the hospital last September with preeclampsia, and was in for 6 weeks bed rest before she was born. Then , she was a preemie, so another 5 weeks in the hospital till we brought her home In November. Then diagnosed with lukemia in Febuary. To say the last year of my life was challenging would be an understatement.
Still in remission, and doing very well. We had one infection a week back, but other than that, treatment was uneventful. Met some real nice people in there, and my heart breaks for some of them. Got to know a few families going through similar things. There was a little girl named Sarah, who liked to come and visit baby Casey. She was 7 years old, and a sweet little girl We noticed that we had not seen for for a few weeks, and when we asked about her, we found out she had passed. This hit us real hard.
Finally after close to a year of a broken family, living in hospitals, and me being mr mom, we are a whole family again. I cannot tell you how good it feels .
She is cute as can be, and just the other day, she started mumbling the sounds dadadadadadada.
Thanks again for all your kind words, stories, and offers to help. Love you guys!
Hug your little ones for me!
