It's been pretty rough out here in SoCal. Shorts and Tees most of the Winter. Down side, no snow (thought it did dump recently) and therefore no water. We're in a severe drought again.

It's been pouring here for days. Lots of flooding around town and we're at the end of one of he hottest summers ever!

Been a fairly "normal" winter up here. Drier (we're about 9 inches short of rain for the season) but, as usual, it's starting to play catch-up now. Changing from gray & dry to gray and wet. The cold snap is gone, thank God.

14+ inches of snow yesterday was not too bad, just exhausting to shovel. It's the 2 inches of snow/sleet/freezing rain last night that's causing trouble...

Just digging out from under a foot plus of snow and getting ready to start shooting the people in So-Cal for rubbing their weather in the nose of the rest of the country.......

Have been in N. NJ all week. If you watch the news, you'd think Armageddon had arrived. In reality, it snowed. Not even a huge amount. Normal winter day. I don't understand this trend of way over exaggerating a normal winter day.

We got about a foot. Glad it was not very cold. Lost electricity, internet, Direct TV. Everything back this morning but Direct TV...but we get lots of HD channels via antenna.

Yep...wasn't a huge deal here in NJ, but if you believe the TV, we are all lucky to have survived. I will say the snow rain mix that occurred here in the metro area is the ugliest ****e weather possible IMHO. Last night we had rivers of water that were contained by all the snow banks. I laugh seeing folks trying to negotiate walking in this crap with their Florshiem loafers on. Anyway, it's not been too cold which is helpful. If we had a deep freeze overnight, things would be very dangerous around here today.

It's winter. It is supposed to snow... Nothing extreme about it.

Just a little reminder for folks that a bit of global warming is better than an ice age.

We have 6-8" of the white stuff. Next weekend it should be up to around 60 degrees. That's unseasonably warm for here. IMO, crazy weather is going to be the norm.

Yep. We have had some cold weather this winter. But it is winter. I hate February. I am real glad it is the shortest month.

According to our news you've all been entombed in snow and ice.

I just enjoy busting my wifes chops, telling her that she will have school until august.
They've already went way over their snow days. Already talking about school on Saturdays to make up for some.

The press really overblows these weather events. I hate winter, but it's not so catastrophic as the press would have you believe.

Yea, the local "storm trackers" drove 100 miles to find some 6 inch snow fall so they would have a reason to interrupt regular broadcast. Really, break in to the broadcast to show us that it is snowing somewhere in the winter-time.

It is for air travel. My question is: why?

More concern than anything else. Our news service also reported 18 people have died because of the weather.

The weather gets the blame for the crashes but it is usually idiots going WAY to fast for conditions.
