Yes! I enjoyed the curling

rusnak 02-18-2014 10:17 PM

I liked the lady snow boarders. Other than that, it's all sorta "meh".

I've always looked forward to the Winter Olympics...I like everything.
The pair skaters from Germany were very good, but the pretty in pink German has it all happening.

Heck yes!

URY914 02-19-2014 02:35 AM

Every time I turn it on curling is being shown.

A930Rocket 02-19-2014 03:52 AM

No.

I really like the aerial skiing, snowboarding, half pipe etc. Curling is actually pretty good.
Yes it is good entertainment.

I'm watching it and having a grand old time! Have you guys seen some of the women curlers? They have some stunners! The X games stuff is very exciting, too.

Skytrooper 02-19-2014 04:54 AM

My wife and I are watching every night from 8-11. Yeah, sure there is some boring stuff, but the best is to watch it then read the articles in the online news services the next day. Talk about spin and political additions

LeeH 02-19-2014 05:10 AM

Nope. As a household, we watch very little TV.

onewhippedpuppy 02-19-2014 05:28 AM

Nope. I find the athletes to be impressive, but the commentary normally pegs my annoyance meter within a few minutes. I wish they could just STFU. I don't watch sports for reality TV drama, and I'm tired of seeing how hard of a life every damn one of them had. It's a global sports competition, not a human interest story on Oprah.

sc_rufctr 02-19-2014 06:16 AM

The biathlon events look utterly brutal. Full respect to those athletes.

june82000 02-19-2014 07:12 AM

I thought these two were amazing in the pairs competition!

Is anyone actually watching the Olympics?

One of the few things I'll actually watch on TV. Fun to see. The over-hyped reporting sucks but it's still worth seeing these folks compete.

One has to realize we're seeing about 0.5% of what goes on for each event too. Lots of non-Americans and / or non-medal contenders who participate and represent their countries. They're all probably better than I could ever be!

74-911 02-19-2014 07:59 AM

Not as interesting when you know the results before the TV broadcasts.

However, Franz Klammer's downhill at the 1976 olympics is the best athletic performance I think I have ever seen... literally I'll win or I'll die trying performance.

pksystems 02-19-2014 09:50 AM

Nope

Tim Hancock 02-19-2014 01:36 PM

Watching all the prime time... Avoiding spoiler results online. Love all skiing events and any events that are not decided by judging. Hate the snowboarding punk crap.

L8Brakr 02-19-2014 03:20 PM

Who wouldn't want to watch Anna Fenninger hit the slopes?

Gold in the Super G and a Silver in the Giant Slalom!

I don't have TV, but if I'm in a place that has it on and they are showing skate/sky/snowboard racing then I'm hooked.

weseeeee 02-19-2014 04:18 PM

Yes, I'm not hooked on it but I do enjoy the competition.
