It's my first mod. I'm using a Dripper Pro By Leo. 10 drops of juice is good for about an hour.
No cigarettes since I started and there's no going back.

Meanwhile I'm waiting on more Vape mail. GUS Estia and GUS lord on their way with some tasty Ejuice ;)

Tell you what, I just got my Kayfun 3.1 Clone in today, $35. free shipping off Ebay. took out the factory coil/wick and built my own coil using 3mm Kaowool and 32awg Kanthal wire with a 4/5 wrap. This thing looks beautiful, and produces awesome flavor with a ton of vapor! Definitely looks great as well. I recommend the version by Hcigar... There are several YouTube videos about this clone and the original and everyone loves it!!! I understand why now lol! I found the best insurance is learning to make your own coils or purchasing quite a few spares. Reason being is once they start going south, you want to be able to either build or pop in another one so you are not tempted to go buy a pack of smokes out of frustration... but even if you do decide to try an "analog" again at sometime in the future, it will taste putrid compared to the clean flavorful vapor... true story :)

Thanks Bill.

Meanwhile that "Angel Of Death" has left my shoulder... Bye bye "Stinkies"

Still no tobacco smokes.... This actually WORKS!!!

sc_rufctr 04-17-2014 07:29 AM

And again, no tobacco... About 3 weeks now.

I'd encourage anyone wanting to quit to at least try this.

I hear ya, 2 years and 4 months for me. Not one cigarette. It's a personal best.

Like I said before, took me all of 3 days to complete the switch and never looked back.

Road was a little bumpy at first because I had no clue what I was doing but once I got it sorted I was cruising.

I don't even remember what it was like to be a smoker.

Just be aware that if you get on a plane to crack your tank so it can acclimate to the pressure change or the juice will leak out all over the place like in your pocket. Don't ask me how I know.

Some real good has come from it.

Not judging... Lord know I have done my share of unhealthy things to my body (and continue to consume alcohol and caffeine)

But there are no negative health issues with nicotine?

Can raise blood pressure, heart rate. Not classified as a carcinogen. No current evidence that on it's own it acts as a carcinogen and it's potential may or may not be increased or decreased in combination with other things.

There are some indicators that it indirectly contributes to triggering some colon cancer development.

Like anything else any benefits in one area will bring with it possibly harmful side effects.

The question is what's the risk / reward ratio?

They don't really know but the general consensus is not cancer causing.

Of all the potentially harmful things in tobacco products nicotine is probably the most benign by a long shot.

I'm sure there are but without Nicotine I get depressed and I loose focus. That's what I've discovered about myself in 30+ years of smoking and quitting.

And as a Vaper you can decide how much Nicotine is in your juice. A lot of people Vape 0 Nic or use low dose 6 or 3mg/ml liquid. I'm using 12mg right now and it's hitting the spot nicely.
Also some people use much higher, up to 24mg and even higher. The point is you decide.

In an ideal world all "smokers" would simply stop.

I would never claim that this is healthy but one thing is certain, it's much healthier than cigarette smoke but a large margin.

I started at 16.

Stepped all the way down to 4 with plans to quit. Did that for 3 months and was a mental mess. Went back up to 8 and instantly felt better.

No apologies to me needed. Without a thread from Crusty Chief I probably would have never quit. Just remember you still stink when vaping. :)

e-cigs have been a real godsend to us. My GF smoked, and smelled like a smoker. Life with her seemed like endless periods of waiting while she fed her habit. Standing around waiting at restaurants, airports, hotels - at home she would stand out in the rain under an umbrella getting her smoke in. Eight weeks ago she tried e-cigs and in 5 weeks was down to 0 nicotene. She still puffs on one now and then, but she can go all day without it. She says she likes the security of the e-cig in her hand. I guess it's kind of like a pacifier. She vapes in the house now and the vapor she uses is candy/cinnamon flavored. It's a little powerful at times but it dissipates fast and leaves no residue. Having the house smell like a candy store for a few minutes is a lot better than smelling like a dirty ashtray permanently.
